Does anyone else have trouble sleeping? I know I do, I have always been a problem sleeper, either not being able to drift off or stay in the land of nod. I was in Lush the other day and was offered a sample of the product I will be reviewing today. Since then I came across a article about it curing peoples insomnia and sleep problems, this intrigued me and it reminded me of the little sample in my bag so I dug it out. I fell in love with the scent so went back into store to buy the full sized pot. I had to tell you my thoughts on it in hope it might help others with the same issue. The product I will be talking about today is the Sleepy Body Lotion. 215g for £13.95.
‘You’ll sleep well after dipping into this dreamy lotion, made with a gentle oatmeal infusion, calming lavender flower and comfortingly sweet tonka absolute. A rich, malty and floral perfume conjures up visions of sugar plums and hot drinks topped with whipped cream while the heavenly ministrations of creamy Fair Trade organic cocoa butter and delicate lavender water cool and enrich the skin. Blanket your body in this lovely lotion before stepping into soft pyjamas for snuggly nights beside the fire.’

The reviews on their website are all five stars stating that people cant sleep without it and how well it made them sleep. I was a bit sceptical that if sleeping tablets don’t help me then why would a body cream?.
First off I want to say how delicious this smells, it has a typical lavender smell but with hints of sweet and spice. I think the smell would be too much if you wanted to use this in the day as well as it does linger on the skin. Did it help me sleep though?. Yes and no, it did help relax me when I applied it 20 minutes before bed time. I wouldn’t say it helped me fall asleep as such but it did help me stay asleep. I do find that I am not getting up three or four times in the night when using this, plus it has made my skin super smooth.
I’d say give it a go, I would recommend it purely for the smell and soft skin benefit and hell it might even help you go sleepy byes. Let me know in the comments below if you have this and if it works for you?.
Thanks for reading.
