Tangle Teezer x Skinny Dip London

Searching for the perfect hair brush when you have hair that sheds easily is such a nightmare task. Especially when you have spent a small fortune on brushes that turned out to make the problem worse or if the brushes were useless at detangling hair. I have long hair and all I have to do is step into the wind and my hair tangles easily. I was doing some research online on which is the best brush to tame hair whilst being gentle and the brand Tangle Teezer would come up a lot. My boyfriend also has the mens version of what I am reviewing today and stealing his and realising how great it works on my hair prompted me to pick up this and write a review for you beauties today.

‘A handbag-friendly design, the Tangle Teezer Compact Styler detangles and delivers the perfect finishing touch. You can smooth, shine and define anytime and anywhere thanks to its unique two-tiered system technology – the long teeth detangle and the short teeth smooth the hair cuticle for healthier-looking, glossy hair. It’s also great for back-brushing to add volume and easily brushes out.’

Tangle Teezer recently teamed up with the accessory desingers Skinny dip London. They make such funky phone cases I love them!. They collaborated on two designs to choose from, the one I have here with the funky flamingo print or another with palm tree leaves and flamingos. There are also tons of other prints from different brand collabs you can choose from, including a star wars, frozen and hello kitty print.

I chose the plainer of the two, and I love how bloody cute and girly it is, it is white on the outside with a pink middle. I love that it is the perfect shape and size to fit into your bag, perfect for a mum like me that is on the go. It is compact enough for someone to chuck in their handbag on a night out or for travelling purposes to save space.

To use you simply pull apart so you are left with two halves and brush through your locks. I have only used this on dry hair as I’m not a big fan of brushing wet hair. The top half is the brush itself and the bottom is the protective casing that keeps the teeth of the brush safe and in good condition.

This is such a dream to use. It makes short work of any knots without harsh pulling or damage being done when working through. Leaving you with soft tangle free hair. I  have noticed that as it is so gentle on my scalp that it hasn’t made my shedding any worse which is a plus from me!.

This Tangle Teezer retails for £13.50 which is a tad bit on the pricey side for a hair brush but it has so many pros and not one con so I think its worth it!. Especially when its hella cute too. I picked mine up in my local Boots store with a double points voucher so I did end up making the heavy spend worth while. If you are interest in buying this along with all the other cool styles you can find it here.

Do you own a Tangle Teezer? Or can recommend a good hair brush to me? Let me know in the comments below.

Thanks for reading

Rebecca

  1. I have a Tangle Teezer and I bought mine years ago. It works wonderfully when my hair is straight but my hair is naturally curly and it doesn’t really brush through my hair as easily so I need to find one for curly hair which I have seen before but very rare… 😊xx

    1. Ah, sorry to hear it doesn’t work for you when your hair is curly, I think I read somewhere that fine bristle brushes are better for curly hair and it doesn’t brush out the curls making it look frizzy. Hope you can find one sweet x
