The Handmade Fair Press Launch

Hello beauties, I was recently contacted by the lovely Grace, from RewiredPR with a invite to The Handmade Fair press launch on Thursday evening . I was super excited to attend and brought my sister along with me.

The event I attended was launching the Handmade Fair which is happening in June. It’s perfect for those who love arts and crafts and is the ultimate creative day out for family and friends. Presented by TV presenter Kirstie Allsop. You can take part in hands-on workshops with tips and demonstrations from the countries best-known makers as well as eat some delicious food and buy tools and materials for your own crafting. For the first time this event is taking place in Wiltshire at Bowood House.

The press launch was held in a beautiful Venue in Bristol called The Forge which has a gorgeous rustic theme to it. With shabby chic decor, bunting, plants, pretty lighting and large windows this was the perfect place to host the event.

We were greeted at the door with some bubbly and was informed that we would get a chance to get creative at two work stations.

The first craft we got to try was silk painting. This is done by using paints and dyes on silk using watercolour techniques. This was so much fun to do and surprisingly so easy!. We were given a demo by the lovely Nicola Davis who runs Nicola Davis Crafts.

The second craft we got to try was Block Craft, which is using wooden carved blocks with paint to create amazing stamped designs.

I loved all the blocks that were laid out for us to use, look how amazing this Fox is. We were given tea cloths to decorate in our own style and got to take them home!.

If you are interested in looking at the whole collection of craft blocks you can find them at The Arty Crafty Place. There is so many things you can decorate with these, my favourite being decorating brown wrapping paper with stamps to use for gifts . This is definitely something I will be trying out in the near future.

The Fair will take place at Bowood House from the 22nd of June to the 24th of June and they’re three ticket options available. You can find prices and booking details here. I will be attending the event so come up and say hello to me if you live in the Wiltshire area!.

Thank you so much for the invite Grace I had a amazing time and met some amazing people.

Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram and Twitter!.

Thanks for reading,

Rebecca
