Hello beauties, if you are a follower/reader of my blog you will know it’s no secret that I love a good highlighter. I recently came across many videos on YouTube reviewing the product featured in today’s post and based on how blinding it looked on everyone else I just had to treat myself and you show you!.
Anastasia Beverly Hills teamed up with Instagram influencer Amra Olevic (also known as Amrezy) to create a highlight. I have to be honest here I didn’t know who she was until I saw her face on the PR packaging on YouTube. I couldn’t find a YouTube channel for her or a blog or anything so I’m still unsure what she actually does!
The limited edition Amrezy Highlighter is an illuminating powder that achieves the perfect glow. With the feel of second-skin, this ultra-smooth formula delivers a radiant finish and reflects a light, brilliant gold.
This highlighter comes in a sleek matte box with the most gorgeous copper stars and text, this has the same design on the front of the plastic container with Amrezy written on the front. I love this packaging, it looks super luxe which is what you expect for a high end price tag.
It opens using a clasp and the box itself is very sturdy and the mirror is great quality.
What first sold me on this highlighter was the light gold shade, I have found myself opting for golds over pinks or whites recently. I used to be a little scared of them, thinking that they were better suited for darker skin tones but boy was I wrong, they look stunning on paler tones too!. As this highlighter is limited edition it only comes in one shade which is ‘ light brilliant gold’.
Formula & Finish
Upon opening the product itself has the most dreamy design, imagine wind blowing sand in a desert and that’s what it looks like.
The texture of this highlighter is very hard to explain, it’s not dry like a powder but not as soft as a cream, however one swipe on your finger picks up so much product and when swatched on the hand, was super smooth and had no fallout. I really like this formula, I hate dry looking highlights so the fact this gives that wet look is perfect for me.
So far I’ve been loving using a small fluffy Morphe brush with this as this highlighter is extremely pigmented I like to be able to get the best placement on my cheek bones, brow bone and nose.
This blends into the skin like a dream and thankfully didn’t accentuate my pores or acne scars like some highlighters tend to do. The great thing about this highlighter is that you don’t have to wear it blinding like me, you can apply less product and opt for a more natural look whilst still getting a sun kissed glow.
This costs £29 for 9g, this is pricey for one one highlight as ABH also sell Glow Kits for £41 for four highlighters. I have to say though based on the amount of product you get and the gorgeous new formula it is definitely worth the money. I recommend it for any skin type for a healthy glow or a blinding highlight. You can buy this here.
