Hello beauties, I’m a little late to the station reviewing today’s product. If you’re a regular reader of my blog then you will know that I love a bargain dupe as I don’t have a budget that allows me to splurge on all the latest high end products. So when all the reviews, ads, videos and posts come out of the I Heart Makeup Chocolate Rose Gold palette I just had to put it on my ‘to buy’ list.

This palette has been named the dupe of the well known Huda Beauty Rose Gold palette and with a price tag of £8.99 compared to the whopping £56 that the higher end one costs I’m very interested to know the results as £56 isn’t budget friendly for me!.
For our lovers of chocolate, and rose gold, we have the palette for you. Gorgeous mix of shimmer, pressed glitter and mattes in 16 amazing shades to create an array of beautiful eye looks. On trend shades ranging from soft neutrals, to rustic oranges, to deep reds to fudge browns, with amazing shimmers and glitters to take your look to the next level. Encased in our metallic rose gold chocolate casing with a full-size mirror.
First off I have to say as a huge chocolate lover that I love love love this packaging. It comes in a sturdy plastic box with the cutest rose gold chocolate bar shaped design.
One of the deciding factors of wether I like a eyeshadow palette or not is if it has a mirror and his definitely has a good one. I’m talking great quality and it’s huge, perfect for creating a eye look in.
I Heart Makeup is also vegan and cruelty free.
Inside you will find mattes, shimmers and pressed glitters. I love that there’s is different textures to choose from. This is definitely a palette for those who love warm eye looks as it contains reds, dark nudes, rose golds, pinks, golds, copper and rich brown shades as well as two transition shades.
The pan sizes are fairly average but the highlight and transition shades (top and bottom) are twice as large. I didn’t find it a problem dipping my brush in.
I was super excited to swatch the shimmer shades and they didn’t disappoint, you will see in the swatches below just how creamy and pigmented they are and that’s with no primer or fixing spray!.
The same can be said for the glitters, I’ve found previous pressed glitters in palettes to come out patchy and flake off and I’m so glad this isn’t the case with the glitters in here. I do find I get more colour payoff with them though when I use my finger and press them onto the lid rather then use a brush.
As for the mattes, I was impressed at how soft they are and not chalky, two of the shades need some building up as the pigmentation wasn’t great but overall the mattes were easy to blend and there is hardly any fallout which is always a plus!
Shades- ‘hold up, touch me, dirty rich, hard work and luxe’
Shades- ‘cheque, barbie, gold digga, girl boss, uh-oh and not yours’
Shades- ‘shy, back up, side-chick, my own and independent’
Overall I’m super impressed with this and have been using it constantly, is it a good dupe for the Huda palette? Based on swatches I’ve seen online (I don’t own it myself) I would say definitely! The only difference being that their isn’t a black shade in the I Heart Makeup one but this is no issue for me as I have other palettes with black shades in. If you’re interested in buying this you can find it here.
I’m thinking of buying the Mint Chocolate one next, have you tried it? Let me know in the comments below!
