I recently took advantage of the 3 for 2 offer on the makeup on Superdrug’s website. I really wanted to try some of the rebranded Makeup Revolution products which they have now renamed Revolution Pro. I managed to get my hands on a good handful of items, a foundation, concealer, primer and setting spray (I will be doing a separate review of those in a different post) and these liquid Lipsticks that I’m reviewing today.

Comfortable to wear and packed with rich pigment, Revolution PRO Matte Lip Pigments dry down to a matte finish that doesn’t budge or smudge.
In 30 trend-led shades, this creamy formula glides on with a soft doe foot applicator, for even coverage and unbeatable vibrancy. Wear alone or top with gloss.
Firstly I want to comment on how much I love the new and improved packaging of these liquid lipsticks. I love the sleek black rectangle tubes with a see through window so you can see the shade on the front. The packaging is a complete copy of the NARS Powermatte Lip Pigments, I’m not sure if the formula or colours are a dupe too as i’ve never tried the lip pigments from NARS to be able to give it my fair opinion.
I picked up eight fun shades out of the amazing thirty shades available. I picked up the shades-
- Inconspicuous– a matte orange red
- Subliminal – a matte warm wine
- Sixth Sense– a matte cool wine
- Imagine– a matte warm muted wine
- Precaution – a matte fuchsia pink
- Perplexed– a matte bright purple
- Semblance– a matte maybe nude
- Rags to Riches– a matte metallic warm gold
These have a average sized doe foot applicator and I found it super easy to get a neat edge on my lips with them as they’re good quality.
As for the formulas these are all really smooth and glide on the lips revealing a incredible amount of pigment using only one coat, the only shades which needed another layer was the purple and the gold shade. One thing I noticed however is that they don’t seem to try down fully matte, I don’t mind this as the colours are so beautiful and wearable and I love wearing normal lipsticks but that is something to bare in mind if the matte finish is what you prefer. One of the things I liked about the formula was that it wasn’t drying and didn’t cling to any dry patches on my lip.
I wore a few of these to test out the longevity and noticed they didn’t budge once they were on the lips, with the exception of them fading a little whilst eating but that’s to be expected. I actually needed to use a good eye makeup remover and scrub these off as it wasn’t budging!

These cost a bargain £4 per liquid lipstick which I think is amazing as the colours are super pretty, they even have a black one and a slate grey for those who are more adventurous with their makeup. I will definitely be picking up more of these as I’m loving them and they also look amazing in a lipstick holder on my dressing table.
