Hello beauties, Urban Decay has to be in my top 5 favourite makeup brands. I love their packaging and most of their products, so when I get a email from either Debenhams or John Lewis with a money off promotion code I can never resist. I picked up these four Lip products, two Vice lipsticks and two of the Vice Liquid lipsticks. I wanted to do a short review of each including lip swatches because they are just so stunning.

Vice’ has it all, bold bright, dark shades. Super versatile neutrals. The pigment load in ‘Vice’ lipstick is insane! Just one swipe provides an unbelievable lay down of colour and every shade applies smoothly without dragging or skipping, hugs lips and feels amazing. Urban Decay’s proprietary pigment infusion system gives the formula its super creamy texture, rich payout and superior colour dispersion. ‘Vice’ lipstick comes in a modernised, luxed up version of Urban Decay’s original lipstick case and the shade matched label including the shade name and finish makes it easy to find the right colour within the depths of your bag. Cream is the original creamy, luxury. A yummy butter blend comforts, hydrates and enhances, leaving lips soft and conditioned, never dry. Aloe vera, jojoba, avocado and babassu oils nourish and soften lips. Illipe butter derived from Malaysian illipe trees provides long lasting moisture.
How luxurious does the packaging for the liquid lipstick look? Very sturdy, heavy feeling and so sleek looking with its metal design and engraved text. It has a average sized doe foot applicator which makes for a super clean and easy application.
The two shades of the liquid lipstick that I picked up have a thin but creamy consistency/texture and are packed with pigment. I found these super easy to apply and they didn’t dry down that fast which means you have more time to play around with them. They do dry down matte but didn’t look flat or dry out my lips.
Like most liquid lipsticks, they last just going about your day but did start to fade in the centre after eating and drinking so you will definitely need to top up after. This happens with practically every lipstick I own, matte or sheen so it’s not a huge negative for me. They look so stunning on the lips and in no way look patchy.
When it’s full priced the Vice liquid lipsticks cost £16.50 for 5.3mls so grab them while they’re on offer like I did.
The packing of these lipsticks really remind me of bullet shells which I think is so creative as it’s a lipstick ‘bullet’. As mentioned above, I love the sleek and luxurious look and feel to this packaging. Definitely one for the dressing table. I also love how they have the UD logo engraved into the lipstick, looks too perfect to use and ruin *crying face*.
When it comes to a lipstick, it needs to be creamy in order to have a smooth application, especially if it’s not a matte. The two shades I picked up glide on effortlessly and make the lips look plump and hydrated. They almost give a blurred effect to the lip as they are satin matte finish.
Both of them actually lasted really well though-out the day, fading slightly when eating but to a nice stained lip colour. The most important thing to mention was how comfortable they were on the lips.
The cream Vice Lipsticks cost £15.50 full priced but are always part of beauty promotions on websites like John Lewis or Debenhams.
I picked up the shade ‘backtalk’ which is a dusky nude with pink undertones. ‘Crimson’ which is a classic red. ‘trip’ which is a terracotta coloured nude and ‘bang’ which is a coral red. Please excuse the second lip swatch below, it’s horrendously applied!
Shades- ‘backtalk’, ‘crimson’, ‘trip’ and ‘bang’
I will definitely be picking up more shades next time there’s a sale as I love both formulas and they have other amazing colours in the collection including some really out there metallic ones!
Have you ever tried any of the Vice lipstick range from Urban Decay? What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments below.
