Kat Von D 10th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette

Hello beauties, there was recently sale on in Debenhams and I picked up a palette that I have had my eye on since it’s launch. The palette I’m talking about in today’s post is the Kat Von D 10th Anniversary Eyeshadow Palette and my god she’s a beauty.

Kat Von D launched her Anniversary collection which consists of 2 new shades of lipsticks in both the Everlasting liquid lipsticks and the Studded Kiss Lipstick, a Golden Tattoo Liner, a Golden brush collection, a Golden mirror, A new shade in the Metal Crush Highlighter and the 16 shade eyeshadow palette. This launch is to celebrate ten years of her beauty brand.

Im in love with the packaging of this palette, The front is adorned with a stunning vintage style drawing that Kat Von D drew herself specifically for this palette. It comes in a sturdy box with gold detailing and a huge mirror inside. Overall I think it’s well laid out and each pan is just the right amount away from the other so it’s easy to dip your brush in.

Inside you will find 16 eyeshadows which consist of mattes and shimmers. This palette definitely has a great array of colours to create a multitude of eye looks with, no matter your skill level. It caters for those who like subtle colours and for those who are more daring. Each shade is named after the modern muses that Kat is inspired by.

Shades- Adele, Malice, Ashley, Gina, Egypt, Sylvia, Lala and Leafar

Shades- Melanie, Alexandra, Nancy, Catherine2, Kelly, Sarah, Carolyn and Chad

The matte shades are very smooth and it’s really easy to pick up colour onto a eyeshadow brush. They blend out easily and are not at all patchy, except for the shade ‘Carolyn’ which as you can see in the swatches is very patchy in places. As for the shimmers (or Glimmers as they’re referred to on the website) they’re super soft and creamy feeling and the colour payoff is incredible. It has to be mentioned however that there’s a fair amount of fallout with the matte shades so its best to create your eye looks before your base.

To own this palette it will cost you £42 which i think is definitely with the money, there is so many fun colours to play with and you can create many looks using just this one palette. I will definitely be taking this with me when I go on trips. I’ve also created a Video swatching and creating a Phoenix eye look with this palette for my YouTube channel. I’d love it if you could like and subscribe!

Let’s be friends!
