Hello beauties, so I’m a little late to this find. Two facial creams from Aldi that everyone was raving about a while back. The bargain Caviar creams were being named as dupes (if not better) of the La Prairie Caviar collection which costs a whopping £292. Although they are aimed at those aged 40+ for its effects against anti aging I thought I’d give then a go to see if it’s hydration properties would do my dry skin any good.
Both creams include three show stopping ingredients that are all key to slowing down the skins ageing process-
Caviar is rich in protein, vitamins and minerals as it said to tackle signs of aging.
Snow Algae has been clinically proven to extend to extend the life of skin cells and trigger stem cells to replicate and replace damaged cells and in turn, rejuvenate the skin.
Hyaluronic Acid keeps collagen synthesis up, as well as retaining skin moisture, contributing to the anti-aging benefits to the skin.
There is two creams in this range, one for the night and one for the day. The cream is housed in a sturdy glass thick plastic tub. The cream itself has a light texture that once applied sinks into the skin and leaves a very smooth look and feel to it. I have dry skin so I really enjoyed how hydrated and healthy this made my skin look and feel. I didn’t find it at all greasy and a little does go a long way. It has a strong floral scent which I personally love. It is packed full of great ingredients mentioned above and even has added SPF. I have been loving using this as my moisturiser and is a welcome addition to my skincare routine. It even works well under my makeup and didn’t break me out which is always a good sign!
I really like how each of the pots have the reversed colours of the other I think that looks really smart in my bathroom together. This is thicker in texture than the day cream as it’s meant to be a intensive moisturiser while you sleep. It’s really easy to apply and doesn’t leave a oily residue. My skin looks so plump and healthy the next morning and has left my skin looking and feeling more hydrated than any cream has. This also has a strong scent to it so if you react to perfumes or just generally hate scented products then this definitely won’t be for you.
Each cream costs £6.99 each which I feel is a steal based on the amazing results. I will definitely be purchasing these again and you get 50ml for the price which will take me ages to use up! They are both targeted at 40+ woman for their anti aging aspects but I obviously can’t comment on that but if you have dry or dull skin and want something to make it look flawless and more hydrated then I definitely recommend these.
Have you heard or used any of these creams? Let me know in the comments below!
