Halloween 2018 Makeup Picks

Favourites, Makeup Looks, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, today’s post is a few of my favourite makeup up picks that will be seeing me through the spooky season. I have created two creepy looks below too!

Disclaimer- This posts contains affiliate links but all opinions and reviews are as always, honest and my own.

Danessa Myricks Vision Cover cream foundation

One of my favourite makeup artists has her own makeup line and is now being sold in the UK! The way she makes skin look is so incredible so I knew I had to pick up her foundation. It provides full coverage and I only have to use one pump to cover everything. The finish is semi matte and makes the skin look like silk. This is the perfect base to wear on its own daily or as a base for applying colourful face paints for your costumes.

Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray

Name a better setting spray than the All Nighter. I’ll wait! Jokes aside this setting spray is a game changer for your makeup. I use this after using all my powder products to 1. Set everything in place and 2. Make my powders look less dry. It’s pricey at £24 but I won’t be without this miracle in a bottle. I often get it when it’s on offer in the Debenhams promotion!

Sleek I-divine Bad Girl eyeshadow palette

I’m pretty sure I included this palette in my 2017 halloween favourites and it still does the job. It has everything you need to create a intense smokey eye. It has the most gorgeous plum purple and royal blue, along with a gun metal silver and the most pigmented matte black. I don’t think it’s currently being sold anymore but I have found it on amazing for less than £6. It’s so pigmented too!

Phoera Red single eyeshadow

I used this in a full face of eBay makeup video not so long a go. It’s always a real struggle to find a bright red that’s not dry, patchy and is pigmented. This single eyeshadow is the most gorgeous classic red. The colour payoff is insane and it’s super easy to work with. I picked this up for a bargain £2.18.

Illamasqua Beyond Powder highlighter

I reviewed this not so long ago here. It’s a very finely milled white highlighter with the most ghoulish green shimmer to do it, perfect if you’re after something a little different to the pink, gold or champagne highlighters and perfect to add to a spooky look.

Sleek Highlighting Elixir drops

This liquid highlighter is new to my makeup collection. I love that this can be used two ways, as a highlighter and mixed into foundation for a dewy effect. I did both in the second look below and it really changed to the appearance of the foundation. I love the peachy pink shade and the wet look sheen it provides without any chunky glitter.

NYX Soft Matte lip cream

Is it Halloween without a dark lip, I love being able to play with out there colours like this NYX matte lip cream in the shade ‘Moscow’ which is a navy blue. I am a big fan of the formula of the Soft matte lip creams.

Eyes using Sleek I divine bad girl, lips using NYX Matte lip cream in shade ‘moscow’

NYX Strictly Vinyl lip gloss

I recently reviewed a few items from the NYX Strictly Vinyl collection here. I love a glossy finish and this shade ‘femme fatale’ which is a stunning black just screams Halloween. I love it paired with this bright red eye for a contrast of colour.

Eyes using Phoera single eyeshadow in shade ‘red’ and lips using NYX Strictly Vinyl lip gloss shade ‘femme fatale’

Which of the two looks is your favourite? What are your Halloween picks this years? Let me know in the comments below!

Let’s be friends!

Autumn/Fall Makeup Picks 2018

Favourites, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, It’s nearly time for the most beautiful season of the year and just like the weather changes, my makeup bag does too. I have put together some amazing autumnal makeup picks that will be seeing me though to winter.

Disclaimer- This posts contains affiliate links but all opinions and reviews are as always, honest and my own.

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Androgy palette

My favourite palette of the year so far. This is a new comer to my collection and I can’t think of a better time for it to be added. Look at those dreamy, rich colours. If this doesn’t scream autumn/fall then I don’t know what does. The pigmentation of these shades are gorgeous and the formula is super smooth.

Lime Crime Venus Palette

A oldie but still a goodie, this has some beautiful shades in for those who like to play around with warmer colours. The dark red shade ‘muse’ and the dark brown shade ‘icon’ in this palette are amazing and I’m a huge fan of Lime Crime’s eyeshadow formula.

Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions palette

This palette is a winner for anyone that wants to rock a berry eye this autumn. The colour pay off in these shadows are incredible, especially the shimmers which are blinding. It’s also perfect to travel with thanks to its compact size. You definitely get a lot of bang for your buck with this.

Revolution Re-loaded Palette Velvet Rose

And lastly for the eye palettes, I included a new favourite of mine, the velvet rose palette. This bargain (its £4!!) is perfect for those who like neutral colours, it has cool tones and some warmer tones and glitters. This is the dupe for the Anastasia Beverly Hills Soft glam palette and has great pigmentation and the colours are so pretty.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation

My favourite, no that’s not a strong enough word for how much I love this product. My holy grail. This can be worn sheer by mixing a illuminator as it has a medium coverage. It can be built to full however. The finish of this is flawless. I love wearing this in the summer and wearing with a dewy primer and base and love wearing this matte in the winter by setting it with a powder (it’s a matte finish foundation anyway). It doesn’t oxidise and it literally lasts on my skin all day without a touch up. This costs £26 for 30ml. It doesn’t come with a pump sadly but these can be bought at a additional cost of £6 from MAC.

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil

I’ve recently fell back into love with eyeshadows in a pencil form, you can apply them directly onto your lid on its own, using a brush to smoke it out or as a base colour for adding shimmers to make them more pigmented. I’ve been loving the shades, they have great colour payoff, are easy to use and only cost £5.50 and are now in the 3 for 2 offer in Boots if you live in the UK!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy Highlighter

One of my favourite highlighters this year has to be the Anastasia Beverly Hills Amrezy collab. It’s so perfect for autumn as it’s a stunning light gold which will compliment the warmer toned looks. This has a gorgeous buttery formula and a wet look sheen without clinging to texture on the skin. It’s pricey but it’s so pigmented that you don’t need to use much to get a blinding shine.

L’Oréal Balmain Color Riche Lipstick

Starting with the lipsticks is one the the L’Oréal x Balmain collab. This is the shade ‘fever’ which is a stunning warm orange, which of course reminds me of a pumpkin. I really love the formula of the Balmain collab lipsticks, they’re super smooth and this particular lipstick is matte.

L’Oréal Chocolats Liquid Lipstick

Another L’Oréal lippy is from the chocolate collection is shade ‘tasty ruby’ which is a dark cherry red. A red lipstick is my favourite and this has the most gorgeous smooth formula. It applies really easy thanks to the tear shaped applicator. It doesn’t leaving that tacky feeling when drying and looks really pretty on the lips. Plus it smells like chocolate which is always a bonus!

Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Lipstick

I always go on about how much I love Lime Crime so it’s no surprise that a liquid lipstick is amongst my favourites. This is the shade ‘Salem’ which is a stunning chocolate brown shade. I’m yet to find a product that I don’t love from Lime Crime and this matte dream is no exception. Expect a super smooth application and finish with this bad boy with tonnes of colour pay off.

Soap & Glory Spectaculips Metallic Lip Cream

I had to add a metallic lipstick in as they’re so in trend right now. This gorgeous shade is ‘gold dusk’ which is a grungy copper colour and I could imagine this going perfect with a purple smoky eye. This dries down matte but has that shimmery finish.

Buxom Big & Sexy Bold Gel Lipstick

I was gifted this at a buxom event I was kindly invited to a few months ago and fell in love with the formula. It’s a heavy duty gel lipstick with a matte finish and gorgeous colour pay off. This is shade ‘Toxic Cherry’ which is the perfect classic red. I love how hard wearing this lipstick is. These are currently on sale on here for £9 So grab yourself a bargain as there’s so many fab shades to choose from.

NYX Strictly Vinyl Lip Gloss

A new comer to my lipstick collection and a product that I reviewed recently here is the the NYX Strictly Vinyl Gloss. Which is a must for those who love a high shine finish. This is shade ‘bombshell’ which is the perfect warm brown.

Have you spotted anything you like for autumn in my picks? What are your autumn must haves? Let me know in the comments below!

Spring 2018 Makeup Picks

Favourites, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, now its officially spring (would someone please tell that to the weather) I thought I’d share with you a few of my favourite items that are perfect for the season change and that I will be using as the weather gets brighter and warmer.

I’m going to be doing my seasonal picks instead of monthly favourites from now on.

Disclaimer- This post contains affiliate links which may make me a small commission, that being said all opinions and reviews are honest and my own.

Spring to me is all about fresh looking dewy skin with a lighter coverage, using brighter colours on my lids and a natural looking glossy lip.

Too Faced Hangover Primer

I recently got a sample of the Hangover Primer from Too Faced when I bought their Born This Way Foundation (review to follow). I love this primer so much that I decided to pick up a full sized version and I will be reviewing this next week!. This in enriched with coconut water and probiotic ingredients to give a fresh ‘awake’ look and feel to the face. I’ve been loving how it’s been pepping up my skin making it look less dull and providing a smooth even base for my foundation. It also makes my dewy finish foundations last all day.

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation

If you follow me on Instagram then you may have seen me raving about this Rimmel Breathable Foundation, it may be a medium coverage foundation but the finish is so flawless and beautiful. Perfect for when you want to wear less makeup as it gets warmer. I love the large doe foot applicator, it’s different but makes application so easy. Seriously if you like a natural looking foundation pick this up it’s stunning and I’ve been wearing this day to day when I want a effortless look.

Benefit Dandelion Twinkle Powder Highlight

I have a full review post of this highlighter and blush here. I love these cute box O’ powders from Benefit, their packaging is always so pretty. This highlighter is a gorgeous light pink shade and has finely milled pigments to give a soft natural looking glow. I like to use this with a setting spray on days I want more of a popping glow!.

Benefit GALifornia Blush

The GALifornia blush has been my favourite and most used blush since I purchased it in January, this is a very warm toned pink and puts the perfect amount of colour on your cheeks. It has a very creamy formula so it blends like a dream and goes perfectly with the highlighter shown above.

I have a ‘free gift when you spend’ code below for Benefit UK. I’ll include the image at the bottom if you’re interested!

L’Oréal Paris Infallible Lip Paint Lacquer

I recently picked up a few shades of the Infallible lip paints after reading a few good reviews and having a swatch session in Boots (my arm was covered). I will be doing a review on the colours I picked shortly. I love the formula of the Lacquers, they apply really smoothly and have so much pigment to them. The shade ‘gone with the nude’ is the perfect terracotta nude which perfect for wearing on its own in a natural look or pairing with a bold colourful eye. Expect to see more glossy lips in future makeup looks.

L’Oréal Paris Color Riche Lipstick

I used this lipstick in my recent spring makeup look collaboration, you can find that here. The shade ‘pink fever’ is a very pretty pink shade with a gloss finish. I love how creamy the formula is making it very moisturising on the lips. The Color Riche range is my favourite for a drugstore lipstick, definitely check those out for good quality, colour pay off and a bargain price!

The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Eu De Toilette

The Japanese Cherry Blossom range from The Body Shop is my ultimate favourite for spring, if you have a Body Shop store near you please go in and smell it and you will understand what I mean when I say it literally smells like spring, fruity and floral but not overpowering. It lasts all day and the packaging is so pretty on a dressing table. They also sell a shower gel and body butter in this scent which I use together.

The Body Shop Vitamin C

Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find a link to this product online but you can still find this in stores. I have been incorporating quite a few products with Vitamin C into my skincare routine and I have noticed just how much brighter my dull, scarred skin has become. This Vitamin C Energising Face mist can be used as skincare (misting onto face after moisturiser for added hydration) or even used as a brightening setting spray on top of your makeup. I picked this up for £6 in the sale and I’m so glad I did!

Here is the Benefit offer code-

Valentine’s Date Night Makeup Picks And Look

Favourites, Makeup Looks, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, if you’re lucky enough to be going out on a date this valentines, wether that be with a partner, a first date, or even just a date night with your single pals. I have put together some makeup goodies and a look that’s perfect for a date night.

I’ll be at home with a cheeky take out, tub of Ben & Jerrys and just to be really cliche, will probably watch all of the Bridget Jones films.

Disclaimer- This post contains affiliate links which may make me a small commission, that being said all opinions and reviews are honest and my own.

Soap & Glory Supercat Liquid Eyeliner

This is my favourite liner as it has the perfect shaped end that creates a jet back and super sharp wing. This is amazing to use all year round of course but there is nothing more sexy then a cat eye.

Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Lipstick shade ‘New Americana’

Of course valentines calls for the cliche red Lippy and this is my current favourite red shade, I love the formula of the Velvetines. As the name suggests they are smooth and so pigmented. This is a classic bright red and it dries down to a matte finish which is perfect for having a smooch!

Cosmetic Loose Glitter Pots

It is no secret that I love glitter, it transforms any eye look from natural to full on glam and it is so easy to use, I picked these loose glitters on Amazon in a set of so many different colours. I recommend using a fixing glue/gel and patting on with a flat eye brush.

Gucci Bloom Eau De Parfum

Scientists claim that we choose our mate based on our natural scent but I know I’d rather smell like a gorgeous perfume. I have been loving Gucci boom recently after receiving a deluxe sample in my Feel Unique box. It has a crisp floral scent to it and it lasts all day. Plus the packaging is pretty darn cute too!.

Lush Chocolate Lip Scrub

Again with the kissing, no one (even if you have no one to smooch) likes dry lips. We’re coming to the end of winter so this would’ve been in your skincare routine anyway. I live for Lush’s lip scrubs for buffing away dry skin ready for lipstick application, it just makes it apply smoother and look ten times better. Plus this one is chocolate scented, but they have so many other scents.

I Heart Makeup Bleeding Heart Highlighter

This is a brand new release from I Heart Makeup for valentines. My favourite highlighters to use are pinks and golds so this peaked my interest as soon as I saw it on their Instagram. It’s a pink highlight but with golden flecks. When swatched it comes out a beautiful rose gold shade which looks stunning on the skin.

NYX Professional Makeup Born To Glow Liquid Illuminator

I’m a huge fan of mixing liquid Illuminator into my foundation, this makes your skin look flawless, healthy and dewy and really peps up my dry skin. I have been loving this one from NYX as it has a soft texture and doesn’t leave huge flecks of glitter. Of course this can be used as a liquid highlight too if that is what you prefer.

Sleek Makeup i-Divine Eyeshadow Palette Vintage Romance

Aptly named ‘Vintage Romance’ this is the perfect palette to create a sweet and seductive eye look, the pink and purple shades in this are my favourite. The pigmentation is amazing, especially in the shimmers.

Ardell Double Up 205 False Lashes

These fluttery eyelashes are so easy to apply and look so glam, they’re the perfect way to finish a eye look, soft but sturdy and easy to apply.

I hoped you liked my picks and the look I created using them. What are your plans for Valentine’s Day? Let me know in the comments below!.

January Favourites 2018

Favourites, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, Normally these kind of posts start with ‘wow this month went fast’ but I swear January was the longest month ever. There’s always a huge expectation for a new year new me and I must admit I’ve failed most of my New Years resolutions already haha!. Find out what I have been loving in the month of January!.

Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara

I spoke about this in my full face of first impressions post here. I have been using this non stop since, I love the packaging and the thick wand and it gives you full yet natural looking lashes. It’s also infused with coconut oil so doesn’t make the lashes look clumpy.

Quick Fix Facials Vitamin C Miracle Mask

I have recently added this into my skincare regime and I am super pleased with the results so far, it is a gel that you apply to your skin overnight once a week. When i wake up the next morning my skin looks brighter thanks to the vitamin C. It is super gentle on my sensitive skin too!. The best part of the product is that it was only £4.99!.

NYX Professional Makeup Pore Filler

If you suffer from large annoying pores like me then I really recommend this, it is a great dupe for the Benefit Porefessional and shrinks them down and provides a smooth even base to apply your make on. I have noticed how much better my makeup looks since using this!.

Benefit GALifornia sunny golden pink blusher

I wrote a full review of this here if you’re interested. This has become my favourite blush, simply because it gives the skin the most natural flush to it without looking like you have blush on. The formula is creamy and it applies like a dream.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation

In the week I am a busy mum to a four year old so don’t want to wear a full face of makeup everyday just to do the school run so I like to use a foundation that is lightweight and looks more natural. I picked up this foundation and have been loving everything about it, I’ve never come across a foundation with a doe foot applicator before and I find that it makes it easy to apply to the skin before using a beauty blender to blend out. It gives medium coverage and has a semi matte finish and lasts all day on my skin without a touch up.

Kat Von D Lock It Concealer

If I could marry a concealer it would be this one, I’m in love with the high coverage, the finish, the brightening effect, the price and the fact it doesn’t crease and doesn’t need setting. Enough said I think.

Laura Geller Gelato Swirl Highlighter

I did a full review of this stunning highlight here. I have been loving golden highlights recently and this looks so lovely on the skin and has a wet look effect. You can wear it natural or use a fixing spray to make it really pop.

Bargain Boots

I am now on a February spending ban but not before I picked up these amazing boots from Primark, they were £6 each in the sale. If you have a store near you then get yourself down there and grab yourself a bargain!.

Most of this month I spent staying in and either working on my blog or looks and scheduling loads of posts before I start redecorating and looking after a poorly four year old. So comfort was key this month, chunky knit cardigans, comfy pants and my comfy bras. The glam is real.

If you have a Netflix account then I know you have been binge watching every friends episode like I have. It’s such a classic and Ross and Joey are my favourites!

October Favourites

Favourites, Uncategorized

Happy November beauties.  We are now on the 3rd day of the new month now and I have loved the month of October, especially the reminder that the season gives us to get rid of the old and make room for the fresh and new. I hope this month has seen you all well too. Todays post is what I have been loving in the month of October!.

IMG_0021 (2)

Makeup and Beauty-

Ciate Chloe Morello vol 2 palette and mascara

I recently reviewed these two products from Ciate here. This is my favourite palette of the month and I have been loving creating looks with this pigmented beauty. Also the Wonder Wand mascara that came with the set is so amazing and is my new favourite as it makes my lashes look like falsies!.

I Heart Makeup Peach and Glow blush and highlight duo

I have been loving this duo palette from bargain brand I Heart Makeup. It is a shimmer blush and highlight duo that gives my face the healthiest looking glow, is so pigmented and only cost £6. I have found it difficult to find a highlight as good as the sleek solstice palette but this is a definite contender. Plus it’s great for me to travel with as its two products in one set.

Lush Twilight Shower Gel

Picked this up as part of my Lush Christmas haul that will be in a up coming post. This has the same gorgeous scent of the Sleepy body lotion that I reviewed here. I am in love with it, such a dreamy scent and it is so relaxing to have in a bath or shower before bed. It is all I have been using lately. I will definitely be stocking up on this before it sells out over Christmas.

Freedom Primer Water

I picked this up in my recent TAM Beauty haul. It looks so much like the Smash Box primer water and I have been loving the way it makes my makeup stay in place all day. I have even noticed a major difference in how my trickier foundations apply and at the price of £6 its a definite new favourite of mine.

The return of coat season

image1 (1)

With the cold weather comes the return of the jackets and coats, I prefer the colder weather to the summer warmth, mainly because I love wearing cosy coats and I am very much enjoying getting my coats back out of storage!

I definitely jumped on the Stranger Things 2 band wagon and binged watched it, the day it came out. I am now having serious withdrawal symptoms and may even watch again!.

American Horror Story Hotel. I started re watching all of them again. Lady Gaga’s makeup and sass in this is inspirational not to mention her outfits!.

So I had my very first Five Guys at the beginning of the month and I kind of wish I was still oblivious too how good it is because I  have since been three times and I’m now addicted! (Please send help)……..

Lastly I have really enjoyed this years Halloween fun! From spooky makeup looks, makeup releases, carving pumpkins and stuffing my face with treats. Its been a good one!.

I am fully ready to embrace everything christmasy now!.

Halloween Makeup Picks

Favourites, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

When I think of Halloween I immediately think dark smoky eyes, bold lip colours and creepy looking nails. I have put together a small selection of my favourite Halloween themed makeup to get you through the spooky season. Whether you have a Halloween party to go to or just wanting to amp up your daily look. I have included links on where to buy these items!.

Morphe 12Z Zodiac Eyeshadow Palette

This is one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes and the very first Morphe product I bought. With twelve eyeshadows that are perfect to create lots of fun eye looks, from smoky to shimmers. The pigmentation is incredible, my favourite shade is the dark teal shimmer shade (swatched below).

LA Splash Day Of The Dead liquid lipstick (Shade El Catrin)

The spooky packaging aside, this is a gorgeous metallic red, making it different from your usual every day red. It has fine specs of gold pigment and the colour pay off is amazing, especially when it hits the lights. It was included in my monthly favourites not so long ago as I adored the heart shaped applicator.

Lime Crime Perlees Lipstick (Shade Denim)

As you can see I have used this too near death (excuse the pun), this is another metallic shade but this time in a deep blue, I don’t normally have much of a excuse to wear this shade so always take full advantage on Halloween. This looks amazing with nude eyeshadow and a wing and would be great in a witchy makeup look!.

Freedom Pro Matte Lipstick (shade Noir)

I obviously had to include a purple lippie, I recently picked this up and have been loving how it has a plum hue to it and how bad ass it looks, its super pigmented and I love the matte finish. It came in a set of five that I will be doing a review of soon.

NYX Liquid Suede Liquid Lipstick (shade Vintage)

This is one of my everyday favourites for Autumn/Winter, it has a smooth and creamy formula that dries matte. I love the deep red shade and it would be perfect for creating a vampy makeup look.

If you’re not too keen on wearing dark, bold colours on your face then why not try doing something spooky to your nails?. These are the shades I have been loving recently, especially that grungy green shade.

Barry M High Shine Gelly Nail Paint (shade Plum)

Barry M Nail Paint (shade Black)

Maybelline Color Show Nail Polish (shade Downtown Red)

Seventeen Colour Carnival Nail Polish (shade Green Gold Shimmer)

What are your favourite makeup picks for the spooky season? Let me know in the comments below.

Current Skincare Routine.

Favourites, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

This is my first ‘skincare’ routine post and I thought it’s a great time to post about my skin as it has been behaving the last few weeks  and I want to share with you beauties the products and tips that help keep my skin clear and that are helping fade my acne scars.

Before I get into everything I use/do I want to mention my skin background. When I was younger I suffered with bad acne. I was lucky enough to be on Nadifloxacin medication that helped clear it up for me but was was left with scars. I now have dry and sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts. Stress, products that don’t agree with me and the time of the month are the main culprits for why I break out.

In the morning I like to start off by using the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Scrub to remove all dead skin, I love this as it is gentle on the skin but just enough to get all the dirt off ready for me to moisturise. I have been using this just over a year and a half now and have really noticed a difference in my old acne scars and how soft my skin is after.

I then like to follow with a oil to moisturise. If you follow my blog you will know how much I love my DIY facial oil that I created. This is packed full off goodies to plump up the skin and give it a healthy glow. It has vitamin e to help the appearance of scarring. I like to apply this five minutes before my makeup and allow it to sink in, it gives the skin a gorgeous glow and makes my foundation and concealer apply so flawlessly. I forgot to include this in the picture as I had just ran out but I also use the Nip + Fab  No Needle Fix eye cream, this is great at tightening the area and making puffy eyes less visible.

After a long day of wearing makeup I love the removal process. I start by taking the Soap & Glory  Off Your Face wipes and removing everything, making sure I go gentle around the delicate eye area. I like to use these wipes as they are quite damp so get rid of all my makeup. They also give a tingly clean feeling without irritating  my sensitive skin. Plus they smell like peppermint and peach which I love!.

Then going in with a small amount of the Elemis Pro Collagen cleanser I will massage into my face and then remove with a warm damp cotton pad, This will remove any leftover traces of makeup that the wipes didn’t take care of. I have recently started using this in my skincare routine and cant get enough of how clean and soft this has made my skin. Plus it feels like a luxiours treat every day.

I finish off with a face mask,  I cant be without the beloved Mask of Magnaminty from Lush. This mask stops me from breaking out. I have been without it for a week before and my skin turned back into a spotty mess!. It has a amazing cooling effect and is full of natural and vegan ingrediants. I found this works best if you use it every day.

Most people like to moistourise before bed but I am not too keen on doing this as my skin gets too oily overnight if I do which causes me too break out. However if I do get a nasty spot I like to dry it up using the  Mario Badescu Drying Lotion which I apply with a cotton bud and  leave on over night. I have found with my skin that doing less is more.

Derma Rolling

Once a week (normally at the start of the week) I like to derma roll my skin, which is a tool with tiny needles (ouch) that you roll across your freshly cleansed face, this helps stimulate the surface of the skin and encourage regrowth. By doing this regularly I have noticed a huge difference in my acne scars. They are fading and I think with continuous use they will soon be gone for good!. I don’t recommend using this on active breakout, acne or spots though as it will just spread gems to the rest of your face. Also make sure you clean after each use! I like to use hand sanitiser and water!.

What are your skincare must haves? Let me know in the comments below!.

June Favourites

Favourites, Uncategorized

June has been a great month for me, starting off with my birthday, a trip to monkey world, lots of new beauty and makeup finds and the purchase of my new ring light!. Keep reading to find out what made it into my favourites list for June.

Embroidered floral ankle boots

Top of the list are these ankle boots from Primark. I love the embroidered trend that’s in all the high street and designer shops at the moment and the intricate detailing on these boots make them look so luxe but only cost £16!. Super comfy too!.

Soap & Glory The Rushower dry shampoo

I’m a big fan of the Soap & Glory range as their scent is  so powerful and long-lasting. I needed a new dry shampoo and my usual Batiste cherry scented one wasn’t in stock so I decided to try this one out (okay it was the packaging that enticed me!). This is perfect for them in-between hair wash days, gets rid of the oils and leaves a heavenly smell without the white talc like residue.

Infuse My. Colour Wash shampoo

Recently I put a dark red on top of my brunette hair for a change. I have gone red so many times to know that red is the worst colour to go as it fades so quickly after washing. I came across this new product from boots. It’s a shampoo with added colour to keep hair colour fresh in between dyes. This adds such warmth to red hair and makes it look like you have just had it coloured. Also comes in an array of different shades and only cost £13!.

Yellow lense aviator glasses

How cute are these 70’s style aviator sunnies from http://www.misspap.co.uk. They haven’t let my face since the sunny weather started. Best thing about these is the yellow lenses so you can still see your eye makeup underneath!

Lush Kerbside Violet solid perfume

This is the current scent I have been loving this month. It has a floral and earthy scent almost like parma violet sweets. I was originally  on the fence when I went into Lush and smelt this (hence getting the smaller solid version) as mixed with the strong smells of all the products I didn’t get the full effect. I’m so glad I did pick this up though as it has really grown on me! I will definitely be repurchasing the bigger bottled version when this runs out! Lasts ages on the skin too!.

What are your favourites from this month? Let me know in the comments below!
