Gift Guide Favourites For Her

Favourites, Hauls, Lifestyle, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, it’s officially the start of the festive season, my decorations are up and I’ve already got started on the tin of chocolates. In today’s post I’m kick starting my Christmas posts with my gift picks for all you ladies out there. We have a mix of food, makeup, homeware, jewellery and so much more!

Disclaimer- This post contains affiliate links and some products featured have been sent to me for free for a review. As always opinions are honest and my own.

Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow palette

I did a fair few reviews on these Huda Beauty eyeshadow palettes when they first launched earlier this year. These gem stone themed palettes are the perfect gift to treat a makeup lover who loves to experiment. The pigmentation is incredible as is the colour story in each. They are £25 each but if you really want to spurge they now have the whole collection in a vault for £100.

Zoeva Spice Of Life Gift Set

Another gift for the makeup lover and this time it comes in the form of a set. The Spice Of Life kit contains a eyeshadow palette that has some gorgeous shades in and is a must for those who love warm shades. A highlighting palette that contains a champagne gold highlight and a rosy link highlight (I use this for a shimmer blush) A lip liner and matching liquid lipstick in a vampy dark red. This is perfect for Zoeva lovers (im yet to have a palette from them that I didn’t love) or for those new to the brand. This set costs £38. I will be doing a review of this set very soon.

Matalan Horoscope Mug

Anyone else love getting mugs for Christmas? Especially mugs with personalised detailing on such as these fun horoscope ones and the best part as they are only £3 so make the perfect secret Santa!

Buzz & Bear Druzy Moon pendant necklace

I was looking for quirky gifts on Etsy for a family member when I cane across the seller Buzz & Bear. How gorgeous is the druzy moon necklace? It’s so pretty and would look gorgeous layered with other jewellery. I definitely recommend having browse through Etsy to find some great hand made gifts that you won’t find on the high street.

The Kings Ginger Liqueur

I was gifted this a few weeks ago for a review but have since bought a back up bottle of this Ginger Liqueur from The Kings Ginger. It’s the perfect gift for booze lovers as so many drinks can be made with it, such as the the Kings and tonic (replace gin with the Kings Ginger) and my personal favourite, added to hot chocolate! This costs £23 and can be found at Waitrose in the UK.

Homesense candles

When it comes to candles home sense is my go to all year round, but especially in the autumn/winter months as all their spiced, berry and pumpkin scents hit the shelves. They always have the perfect containers and make such attractive looking gifts!

Monty Bonjangles Chocolates

A sweet gift, especially a chocolate one is always something I like to gift my loved ones, who doesn’t love chocolate! At the start of the year I found about the brand Monty Bojangles and have been obsessed ever since. Their chocolates are so rich in taste, are so luxurious and they have loads of flavours available! My personal favourite is the Pistachio Marooned.

Lime Crime Lip Spinner Gift set

My favourite item from this post has to be this new Lip Spinner set from Lime Crime. This is part of their new Christmas launch and is the perfect gift for lovers of the brand or for newbies to try some of their products. It contains three mini sized Velvetines and three mini sized Wet Cherry glosses. I love the formulas of both ranges so had to pick this up for myself. I managed to snag this in the Black Friday deals but full price this is £41 on Cult Beauty. I will be doing a separate blog post reviewing this on Friday!

The English Tea Shop Herbal Tea

When it comes to hot drinks not everyone likes a tea or coffee or hot chocolate and instead opts for a herbal brew. I recently picked up these two festive themed teas from The English Tea Shop and have been loving them so far. My favourite is this Rooiboos Candy Cane tea which has the classic taste of peppermint but with a gorgeous vanilla twist. A tub of this with a mug will make a cute little secret Santa gift!

Lush Cinders Shower gel

It isn’t a gift guide without a product from Lush, their Christmas range is always amazing and this year I wanted to include this new shower gel that launched a few months ago. It smells like Marzipan and is so different to any shower gels from lush I’ve owned before.

I’ve also added another new launch that has become a new favourite of mine the Candy Cane bubble bar which is so cute and festive, it would make the perfect stocking filler. I wanted to add in the new Cranberry Fizz lip scrub Lip scrub too, this smells bloody amazing and is also perfect to slip into a stocking or to add in a bath hamper!

Personalised Phone Case with CaseApp

I was lucky enough to collaborate with this brand recently to make these gorgeous phone cases. Case App are a design your own case company that allows you to personalise them with any image and text. They also have lots of pre made designs to choose from and make laptop skins. Decorate your loved ones phone with a collage of photos or a pet or just a funky design.

Spectrum Mean Girls Makeup Brush Set

Another gift for the Makeup lover, you always need the right tools to create a great makeup look and these makeup brushes from Spectrums Mean Girl collection are ‘so fetch’. This set contains ten brushes A01, A05, A07, A10, A16, A17, A21, B01, B06, C01 and come in this fun mesh makeup bag. Each brush has a quote printed on the side from the film and are amazing quality. This set costs £49

Benefit Magical Brow Stars Gift set

I reviewed this set recently and think this set is the ultimate gift for a brow lover. It contains five full sized Benefit brow products and a double ended brush. It costs £49.50 with a contents value of £118 which is incredible!

Buxom Beauty Event Haul

Collaborations, Hauls, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, I recently was invited to a Buxom beauty event ( you can read about that here) and was gifted some amazing goodies to try out and I wanted to share with you what I received and give some mini reviews and swatches!

Disclaimer- Some of the products were gifted to me from a beauty event. As always reviews are honest and my own.

The first product I want to talk about is the Buxom Divine Goddess Illuminator that I got the chance to to try at the event. As soon as I tried it I knew I had to buy it and I’m so glad I did. This is a illuminating cream that can be used as a subtle liquid highlight or mixed in with a foundation for a dewy finish. I love the smooth formula and that it doesn’t have chunky glitter in it. It gives off the most gorgeous iridescent glow and I really like the appearance of my makeup with this underneath. This can also be used on the body and looks so beautiful on the shoulder bones. This costs £21 for 59ml.

Next up is two lip plumping products.

The first, a product that I was gifted for going to the event is the Buxom ‘Full On’ Lip Polish in the shade ‘Sugar’. This is a U.S best selling sheer, shimmering lip polish that plumps up the lips making them look fuller. This has a gorgeous glossy finish with small flecks of glitter. It doesn’t feel gritty though and is the perfect gloss to wear on its own or on top of a lipstick. The vitamin A and E in this keeps your lips soft and protected. This costs £15 for 4.44ml

Secondly another product that I purchased in this gorgeous coral Buxom ‘Full On’ Lip Cream in the shade ‘Mai Tai’. This has a slightly different finish to the gloss above, it is smoother and doesn’t have the glitter in it. This gives a high shine glass finish. I thought this shade would be perfect to wear with my summer looks. I also love how much these plump up my lips and love the fresh tingling sensation it gives. This cost £15 for 4.44ml

I was also lucky enough to be gifted one of the Buxom ‘Big and Sexy’ Matte Gel Lipsticks in the shade ‘Toxic Cherry’. If you are avid reader of my blog you will know how much I live for a red lip. The formula is so smooth thanks to it being a gel and I love how soft it looks on the lip. I will even go as far as to say it’s my new favourite formula and that’s a huge statement. I will definitely be picking up more shades in this lipstick. The only downside is that the shape of the baton is huge so those with smaller lips will struggle with application and will need to apply with a lip brush instead. This costs £15 for 2.6g.

Lastly I received a travel size Buxom ‘Big Tease’ Plumping Mascara. I was really excited to try this after hearing lots of great things about it from the event. It has a pair shaped wand thats really easy to use and helps you get into the lashes and fully coat them. It makes them so much longer and fuller without looking clumpy and looks amazing on the bottom lashes. I will definitely be picking up the full sized version of this when I’ve used this travel one up. It costs £18 for 13ml.

Thank you so much to Buxom for gifting me some of these goodies, overall I’m really impressed with the brand and will definitely be trying out more of their products in the future!

Do you own anything from Buxom? Let me know in the comments below!

High End Bargain Makeup Haul From TK MAXX

Hauls, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, so I was recently in TK MAXX as I hadn’t been to have a look in ages. I forgot just how many high end makeup and beauty products they sell at discounted prices. I picked up a good handful of items and wanted to show you what I managed to get my hands on. Every store is different as it’s a discount store so stock may be different depending on the shop near you. I have linked any products that are up currently on their website though!

They have brands such as Mac, Bobbi Brown, Pixi, Estée Lauder, Nars, Guerlain, Becca, Too Faced and many many more!

For those of you who may be unfamiliar with TK MAXX, it’s a discount store that sell designer/high end items at a discount price. They sell clothing, beauty, cosmetics and homeware. My favourite time to go have a rummage is around Christmas as they have all their gift sets going cheap! If you live in the UK i definitely recommend finding one on your travels. Just for the makeup bargains alone!

Nars Single Eyeshadow RRP £19.95 Now £8

This is such a gorgeous eyeshadow, it’s a rustic red shade and I am huge fan of the Nars eyeshadow formula already. It’s super pigmented, not chalky and I can’t wait to create a smoked grunge look tutorial with this! Plus bonus points for the adorable little mirror.

Make Up For Ever Mascara WAS £20 NOW £4.99

I picked up this mascara mainly because I was running low on my current one and also because I haven’t tried a mascara from MUF. I love the pear shaped wand, it makes it super easy to get into the lashes and makes them look so full and long. This is also the perfect size to travel.

Too Faced Perfect Black EyelinerWAS £18 NOW £6

It’s probably everyone’s quest when looking for a black eye pencil to find one that’s super jet black, enter this marvellous find. It’s super easy to use and is definitely the most pigmented pencil I’ve used to date. It also has a smudging tool at the other end. I will be using this in a upcoming makeup tutorial smoked out with the Nars shadow above!

Too Faced Melted LipsticksWAS £21 NOW £4.99

These three lipsticks were such a bargain, I have tried this formula before and loved it. I picked up three shades. ‘Peony’ which is a light dusky pink with a metallic finish, ‘chocolate cherries’ which is deep brown shade and smells like chocolate frosting and shade ‘villain’ which a a very rich purple colour.

Milk Makeup Lip MarkerWAS £20 NOW £4.99

How funny is this packaging, it felt so wrong applying. Just like drawing on your lip with a regular marker. That aside the bright orange shade ‘turnt’ is absolutely stunning and is super pigmented. It was a bit of a ordeal to get off though to be honest.

Too Faced La Creme LipstickWAS £22 NOW £4.99

Cute packaging? Check. High pigmentation? Check. This gorgeous shade is perfect for the summer and has a super moisturising formula that makes lips look full and juicy. This is shade ‘juicy melon’ which is a cute coral colour.

Pixi Glow-Y Powder Blush WAS £14 NOW £6

I picked this in the shade ‘rome rose’ after googling a swatch as it has the most gorgeous rose gold shimmer to it. It looks really pretty on the cheeks and gives a beautiful glow from within look to the face. It’s really pigmented so you have to be careful not to go too heavy handed as you don’t want to look like a clown. That aside the pan size is huge!

From left to right- Pixi blush, Nars eyeshadow, Too Faced Pencil, Milk marker, Too Faced lipstick and three Too Faced Melted lippies

What’s the best bargain you’ve found in TK MAXX? Let me know in the comments below!

Primark Makeup Haul

Hauls, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, today’s post is a fun little haul. I recently went into Primark to pick up some basics and the Primark in the town I live hasn’t in the past had much of a beauty/Makeup range so when I saw they had upped their game I had to grab a few bits and show you the goodies I picked up.

I picked up a blush palette, two eyeshadow palettes and a lip kit, I really want to try out the current foundation that’s meant to be the exact dupe for the Estée Lauder Double Wear but they didn’t have any pale shades!

Ps… Pure Blush Matte And Shimmer Blush Palette

I’m a sucker for a really pink blush so when I saw this palette I literally squealed next to a few other shoppers. The packaging is super gorgeous with its pink marble background and rose gold writing. Inside you will find two matte powder blushers and two shimmer blushes that can be used as blush or as highlighters. You will see in the swatches below just how pigmented all of them are and I can’t wait to create a fresh glowy cheek with the shimmers. This palette cost £5 which is such a bargain for the large pan sizes. Seriously if you like pink blush get yourself to Primark now!

Ps… After Party Eyeshadow Palette

When I first saw this palette I wasn’t overly drawn to the packaging because the whole Mermaid thing is a tad overdone but I saw a few of the colours in this and was inspired to create a festival look (stay tuned I will be posting three festival looks) and when I swatched them in store I was pleasantly surprised. In this palette there’s nine intensely pigmented shimmer shades and the most gorgeous colour selection. The only shadow I’m disappointed with is the sixth one in as you can see in the swatches as it was dry, chalky and patchy. This palette cost £4.50! Again another bargain.

Ps… Shadow & Shade The Berry Edit Eyeshadow Palette

I wasn’t too keen on the cheap looking packaging of this palette but what really drew me in was the stunning berry shades. I’m looking forward to using this to create some warmer toned looks. Inside you will find one matte eyeshadow and eight shimmer shades. This could do with having more matte shades to work with but for £2.50 I won’t complain. The pigmentation is amazing and there’s little to no fallout which is incredible for the cheap price.

Ps… Chocolate Molten Gloss Lip Kit

This is a blatant copy of the Too Faced Melted lip paints and honestly you all know I love a dupe. I adore the brown and gold packaging. This kit contains a lip liner pencil and a tube of coloured gloss. The shade I picked up was ‘mocha’ which is a rich dark brown shade with a sparkly glossy finish. The formula is super smooth in both the liner and the gloss and the pigmentation is amazing. This set cost £3.

I hope you enjoyed reading this little Haul, Primark have really upped their game with their beauty and makeup products. Have you picked anything up from there recently? Let me know in the comments below!

Lush Valentines Haul 2018

Hauls, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, Happy Valentine’s Day!. I decided to buy myself my own valentines present this year. To me from me, basically any excuse to justify spending. I love Lush products in general but even more so when they bring out their seasonal bits!.

Lush Kiss Me Quick Wash Card £2

A kiss on the hand may be quite continental but the apple pulp in this wash card will make your skin your best friend in no time! Much cheaper than diamonds, this glorious lather will cover you with the love and passion you deserve. Dazzle your body with the scent of spicy, clove bud oil and sweet mimosa absolute that will have you begging for more. Don’t be fooled, the tonka inside gives sweet over notes that leave this wash card a devious addition to any shower or bath encounter.

I had never tried out a wash card before now so had to ask the lovely lady in my local Lush store how to use them. Wash cards are basically shower gel in card form that lather up when you run it under water. This has a spicy scent to it and what I love most about this is that it lingers on skin for ages after using. I was pleasantly surprised at how soft this left my skin too. I will defiantly be picking up more of these in different scents as they are only £2 and I can see them lasting ages!.

Lush Unicorn Horn Bubble Bar £4.50

Relaxing lavender oil meets mood-brightening neroli in this lustre-filled bar. Neroli oil increases serotonin levels in the brain which makes us feel contented and cheery, so you can ponder the existence of magical creatures while building a fairytale landscape of feel-good, fragrant bubbles.

This is my all time favourite in the Valentines Collection, I stock up on it every year. I love the pretty unicorn horn shape and the pastel colours, Lush always deliver when it comes to creativity. This has a gorgeous relaxing lavender scent with a mix of sharp citrus. It’s super calming when crumbled under running water and creates the most luxurious bubbles.

Lush Whole Lotta Love Bubbleroon £4.75

Crumble beneath a nice hot running tap,

And watch the bubbles foam and grow and rise.

Whether you met in town or on an app

Jump in a bath and look deep into their eyes.

A cheeky scent that makes your warm heart sing

You can detect a whiff of floral rose

You hark right back to young loves dream this Spring

As bergamot rises and fills your nose

So long as scent exists or eyes can see,

Our whole lotta love gives life to me.

Another new release is this heart shaped bubbleroon, it works the same way that a bubble bar does but has a layer of softening butter in the middle. I love the heart design and the fresh floral scent. This makes the water a bright pink colour and leaves your skin feeling so soft after having bathed in it.

Lush Cherryish Body Scrub £7.95

Romeo and Juliet, they never felt this way I bet, but they didn’t have this chocolate and cherry delight to keep things smoothed over. Cherish skin with a moisturising scrub of Fair Trade organic cocoa butter and fine sea salt. As you stroke this mouth-watering handful over wet skin, a second helping of ground cherry stones help to get the blood flowing. With warm and uplifting cocoa absolute and a touch of sweet almond essential oil, you’ll be asking for more, more, more!

This is my favourite out of this haul, I love a body scrub and was so excited to smell this one as it smells like chocolate and cherry. To use simply rub in circular motions onto wet skin. It buffs away any dead dry skin and leaves it looking smooth and shiny. I love that this has cocoa butter in as this keeps your skin full of moisture.

What are your plans for valentines? Let me know in the comments below.

Full Face Of First Impressions

Hauls, Makeup Looks, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, I recently picked up a handful of products that I have never used before, from either a drugstore haul, bird that I received for Christmas or some that were lying in my makeup collection. I thought it was a good chance to do some first impressions and create a look at the same time.

Disclaimer- This post contains affiliate links which make me a small commission, that being said all opinions and reviews are my own and I wouldn’t recommend something I didn’t love and wouldn’t buy myself.

NYX First Base Primer spray

This primer comes in the form of a spray, I picked this up recently in a travel set with loads of goodies. This has a great spritzer and provides a even layer of primer to the skin that leaves it with a tacky base for your foundation to stick too. I did notice that it did help my base to adhere better to my skin then when I use my oil based primer, however it didn’t look as flawless. I think this would be perfect for those who have oily skin who need help with how long their foundation lasts.

NYX Pore Filler Primer

I had heard lots about this primer and that its meant to be just as good if not better then the Benefit Porefessional but at a cheaper price. I wanted to try this travel sized version out first before spending on the full sized one. I do have large pores on my nose, which are such a pain to cover. This has a silky smooth texture and presses into the skin easily, it made my pores look less visible and helped the foundation on my nose (where I get the driest) look smooth, more hydrated and flawless, I will definitely be repurchasing this!.

Maybelline 24 Hour Superstay Foundation

This is foundation is new on the market and is currently being raved about on YouTube due to its finish, formula and the coverage. It was kind of difficult to find my shade though, the lightest shade was too pink and I need a yellow toned foundation, so I chose the second lightest shade ” but this was much too dark for me. This wasn’t too much of a problem though as I have shade adjusting drops that I can lighten the colour with. I’m in love with the formula though, it has medium to full coverage which can be built up without looking cakey and you will see below just how flawless it looks and how well it photographs, not to mention it lasted all day without a touch up. I didn’t try it out for 24 hours like the bottle suggested just because who really wears their makeup for that long?.

Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define concealer

Unless you have been living under a rock you would have noticed social media going nuts over this concealer because it has been named the Tarte Shape Tape dupe. It has the same amazing coverage in my opinion and a great price tag at £4 a tube. I picked up the lightest shade and I am loving this thick formula, it is very easy to blend out and has a gorgeous brightening effect on the undereyes. The one thing I don’t like about it is the tube seemed quite empty, like you don’t get a lot of product inside. That aside, it didn’t crease, and was easy to set with a powder and is super cheap!.

Rimmel Insta Duo Contour and Highlight Stick

I’ll admit, I rarely ever contour, I just don’t think I am any good at it and end up looking muddy haha. But it’s something I really want to get better at so decided to pick up this contour and highlight cream stick to play with, I like that the shade is light so the result won’t be too harsh and I actually found this super easy to use and blend out.

NYX HD Finishing Powder

I picked this up because I needed a new loose translucent powder, this however didn’t work out for me, it seemed to cling to my dry patches around my nose area and made the foundation not look as nice as my RCMA no colour powder that I love. I will try it with some other foundations though and see if it it makes a difference. I was so gutted because I loved how finely milled it was.

Natural Collection Blush & Glow

I bought this to try ages ago after running out of my usual blush while I was away one weekend, I never ended up using it. I was worried about using this at first as it swatched poorly and quite a lot of powder cane off the brush after dipping it in. But that being said it did give a soft natural rosy look to the skin which I quite liked, plus it was £2.49 which is a steal.

Makeup Obsession Lightning Highlighter

Another product that I bought ages ago and never got round to using was this highlight, I originally liked it because of the gold detailing. This highlight looks very pretty on the skin, it has a silky texture and gives a wet look effect when applied. You can either use this sparingly for a natural look or go all out by spraying your brush with setting spray to make yourself glow. I can’t believe how well it performed when it only cost £3!

Maybelline Superstay24 hour matte ink lipstick

Another new product that I picked up is this liquid lipstick from maybelline, mostly just because I loved the colour and don’t have anything like it in my collection, the applicator want is so pretty, it’s shaped like a little heart. It smells so Scrummy and applies smoothly thanks to it having a creamy texture and didn’t cling to any dry patches on the lip. The only problem I had with it is it takes ages to dry down to a matte finish. I have my eye on a few other colours in the collection.

Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara

I love trying out new mascaras, the selling point for me is that it is infused with coconut oil. I’m in love with the packaging and the chunky wand design, the mascara isn’t thick and clumpy and it applies so well, it coats every lash and makes my lashes look nice and long without looking like the dreaded spider legs.

UCANBE Emancipation eyeshadow palette

Now I’ll point out the obvious that this is a ‘dupe’ for the Anastasia Beverly Hills subculture palette. I found this recently on amazon and it was less then £6 so I thought I’d give it a go. I never wanted the real one as it was said to be a total flop so I wasn’t about to waste my money. I’m really impressed with the quality of these eyeshadows. The mattes are pigmented and aren’t chalky and the shimmer shades are really creamy. There’s some fallout but that’s to be expected with cheaper eyeshadows. Other then that they blended superbly and they also do a dupe for the ABH Modern Renaissance palette which i am going to pick up!.

What new makeup have you tried recently? Let me know in the comments below.

Lush Christmas Bathtime Favourites

Hauls, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, I have been loving reading all the ‘What I got for Christmas’ posts and although I don’t plan on doing a detailed one of what I received I did want to do a review on this fab gift set that my boyfriend got me (he knows me well or just thinks I smell haha).

IMG_0665 (2)

I love how creative Lush were this Christmas and loved nearly all of their limited edition Xmas products. This set is called the Christmas Bathtime Favourites and inside you will find nine of their Christmas themed bath bombs!. I love the packaging of this box, especially the purple ribbon that makes it look so fancy. I will definitely be keeping the hat box in my bathroom to store my lush goodies in throughout the year.

IMG_0674 (2)

Sherbet Dip bath bomb 185g

As it’s name suggests it’s shaped just like the sherbet lemon sweets and I think this is such a fun idea!. It has a mouthwatering scent of lemon and contains lemon, grapefruit and orange essential oils and makes the bath water a luminous yellow.

Butter Bear bath bomb 75g

This adorable bear shaped bear bomb is one of my favourites for how soft it makes your skin after the bath. It smells like chocolate and vanilla. However it isn’t very exciting in the water but does make you gorgeously smooth thanks to the cocoa butter.

Snow Fairy jelly bomb 180g

This one I am kind of nervous about trying, after trying the ‘dark arts’ jelly bomb and that being a total fail. The jelly getting all stuck in my hair (was such a nightmare). It smells like the typical bubble gum sweet scent of the Snow Fairy range and it does look really appealing. However I will be using this on a day I don’t need to wash my hair. Fingers crossed there isn’t the same horrendous clean up that I had before. Pray for me!.

Shoot For The Stars bath bomb 200g

I LOVE the appearance of this bath bomb, a bright blue bomb with golden embedded stars. This makes a gorgeous blue explosion and leaves magical glittery water. It has a sweet toffee scent and the stars are made of body butter which melts to leave you beautifully soft.

Golden Wonder bath bomb 200g

Shaped like a present, it is the perfect gift or Christmas themed bath bomb for the festive season. This feels really heavy when held in the hand and really peaks my interest on what’s inside and what colour it makes the water. Spoiler! It makes a gorgeous blue and green explosion and leaves the water blue. It has a fresh citrusy scent.

IMG_0681 (2)

Nevermind The Ballistics bath bomb 200g

With the Sex Pistol name reference this bath bomb had to be cool. It is a bomb that is dipped in a butter melt coating and has a orange scent thanks to the orange oils. This makes silky orange water and is very appealing to watch once it’s been placed in the tub.

Luxury Lush Pud bath bomb 200g

It is not Christmas without a Christmas pudding and I love all the colours in this aptly themed bath bomb. With a scent of lavender and Tonka it is a very calming smell, perfect for bedtime. It starts of foaming pink then explosions of different colours start appearing it’s amazing!leaving a rich pink water.

Christmas Sweater bath bomg 200g

This is such a creative idea for a bath bomb for Christmas, we all love the tacky Christmas jumpers which it is designed to look like. Offering a warm and spiced scent to make you feel toasty and relaxed. Perfect for the colder weather. This makes deep red and and orange foamy water.

Thundersnow bath bomb 200g

Looking just like it’s name ‘thunderstorm’ this fun mix of colours makes me intrigued to see the result in the water. With a peppermint and cocoa scent which is so heavenly, something that will give you a real pick me up. Making a explosion of blue and green water.

IMG_0685 (2)

I hope you liked this review, I can’t wait to get started using all these bombs, they are way too pretty to use mind!

Did you receive any lush gifts for Christmas? Let me know in the comments below!.

December Primark Haul

Hauls, Uncategorized

I usually do a outfit of the day post on a Saturday but I’ve decided to post my Primark haul from last week instead. Does anyone else struggle going into Primark because everything is so damn appealing? I really do! Keep on reading to see what I bought recently.

IMG_0341 (2)

Applique sleeve detailed blouse £14

This first blouse really stood out for me because of the luxurious floral embroidered detailing on the sleeves. This will go perfect with a leather skirt for a festive night out whilst still keeping warm!

Mustard bell sleeve blouse £10

A mustard beauty with bell sleeves, frills and ribbons. Not only is it super cute and girly it will also look great paired with a 70s dark blue style denim skirt or flared jeans.

Tartan Elasticated detailed blouse £6

Lastly and because winter/Christmas time is the only time I really feel comfortable wearing tartan. I love this smart blouse with elasticated detailing on the front. Not to mention it was only £6!. Will be wearing these with a pair of leather trousers and biker boots.

IMG_0343 (2)

Look at that gorgeous detailing, it has me seriously drooling!.

IMG_0348 (2)

Multi Coloured Faux fur scarf £6

I was eyeing this faux fur scarf/collar a few weeks ago as I love the mix of  colours, I went to finally pick it up and it was marked down to half price in the sale! Love when that happens, I like to drape these on top of my leather jackets and wool coats for added glam and of course warmth!.

Red tassel earrings £2

Tassle earrings are everywhere at the moment and I didn’t have a red pair in my collection, I love how vibrant and sassy they are! Cant wait to wear them, they also sell the in black and a bright pink.

Crushed velvet shoulder bag £7

I recently broke one of my favourite bags so was looking for a replacement, I’m not really one to have crazy detailed bags so this one is perfect for me, just the right size to fit my important items, purse, phone, touch up makeup and gum. I love the crushed velvet material and it really reminds me of the Gucci bags that became so popular this year.

Faux shearling heeled boots £6

I  recently saw these on someone’s Instagram slating them for being ‘ugly’ but damn I fell in love with how tacky these are. Anything fluffy and different and I’m there, plus they were only £6 in the sale. WINNER!. Question is shall I go back and get them in the nude colour?.

I did want to have a makeup haul included in this but my Primark where I live has a crap makeup selection or its always been tested or sold!.

What goodies have you found recently in Primark? Let me know in the comments below.

Thank you for reading.

Latest In Beauty box: December

Hauls, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

It has been a little while since I did a beauty box review, a few months ago I cancelled my Latest In Beauty subscription to use the money for other things. I recently got a come back’ email offering me my next box with money off so thought it was a great time to resubscribe!

Latest In Beauty is a monthly subscription box that lets you pick your own items and plans based on your preference or budget. This is great as it will avoid any disappointment that may come with other pre picked boxes. They upload new products daily and have a fab range of makeup, beauty, skincare or lifestyle products. I am on the Beauty guru plan which is a £18 a month for nine products, which is the highest plan. I think that is fab as you do get some full sized products and free postage! There are two other plans available if you’re on a lower budget. Along with the items you pick they also throw in freebies every month and a free makeup bag with your first order. This is what I picked for November’s box.

The items that are pictured here in the box are the items they put in for me for free! Including a full sized product! They really out did themselves with this box. I am so pleased.

Ardell Mega Volume false lashes ‘250’

Lately I have wanted to start using false lashes more but I’m not too sure what is the best brand to go with, plus I’m not very good at applying them. I picked these to try as I have heard many good things about Ardell lashes and needed a full pair for a look I’m doing next week . These have two layers and I can’t wait to try them! I love how you get the glue included.

Skin Yoga Coffee body scrub (sample size)

I love a good body scrub and was intrigued by this one from Skin Yoga. I don’t know much about the brand and when looking up how much a full sized bag was (£33) I thought it was a great try before you buy situation. Coffee is well known for its firming qualities in skincare as well as reducing the appearance of scarring (stretch marks).

L’Occitane Roses et Reines hand and nail cream (10ml sample size)

I have used this hand cream before so this isn’t a new find for me, picked purely as it’s the perfect size to fit into my smaller bags for winter. It is my favourite hand cream for keeping my hands soft and away from any damage from the cold weather. The smell of sweet roses is amazing too!

OPI Nail Lacquer shade ’emotions’ (3.75ml sample)

Firstly how cute are the mini bottles, great if you want to try out a colour before you commit to the full sized. I chose this because i find minis so cute! Plus they are perfect to travel with, without worrying that the bottle will break in your bag. This shade is a black with granite style flecks in, giving it a grainy effect.

OPI Nail Lacquer shade ‘race red’ (3.75ml sample)

I’m a sucker for a classic red and chose this to go with my red lipsticks when I want to match my lips and nails. OPI have such a great and long lasting formula, I have quite small nails so the little brush in the sample bottle are perfect for my application.

Laura Mercier Radiance foundation primer ( 15ml sample)

I will be doing a full review post on this at some point but I’m really excited to try this primer from Laura Mercier. It is one of her raved about products and I’m excited to see what the ‘radiance’ claims will do to my skin and makeup application. Keep your eyes out for the upcoming post!

Carmex Peach and Mango burst lip balm (10g full sized product)

This brand has been mentioned in two of my previous posts so if your a avid reader of mine then you will know that I am no stranger to this product, picked as I wanted to try out the scented version and it doesn’t disappoint! A gorgeous mango and peach scent. I don’t trust any other brand than this to keep my lips on top form in the winter months!

Lord & Berry lipstick pencil shade ‘diva’ (3.5g full sized product)

I am a sucker for a Lord & Berry product and when said product is a plum shade lip colour I was never going to be able to resist. This is a full sized lip crayon and as you can see from the swatches below it has great pigmentation and a gorgeous sheen to it

Burt’s Bees lipstick shade ‘blush basin’ (3.4g full sized product)

I have only ever tried the normal lip balms from this brand so when I saw they had lipsticks on the list I really wanted to try. This has a rich, creamy formula and is a pretty nude colour with a glossy finish. Perfect for anyone who likes more of a natural lip!

Dr Botanicals Tropical Invigorating cream (50ml full sized product)

First of all I can’t believe how generous they were this month with my freebies, this full sized facial moisturiser is £44 to buy and I got it for FREE! I am excited to use it and I love the fun packaging. The smell is a bit off putting as it quite of smells like plastic so hopefully it doesn’t linger! Either way still great to receive for free!

Regenerate Advanced toothpaste (14ml sample size)

I wasn’t overly excited with this, I mean how exited can you get over toothpaste? However it was free and is the perfect size to take on a weekend away trip so I will be putting it in my travel wash bag!

Weleda Grenade perfume (1.5ml sample vile)

A standard sample sized vile of perfume, I have never tried this brand before and thought I was going to hate it, it has a sweet yet spicy scent to it that will go well for the winter months, I will use up this sample but won’t be purchasing the full sized! I love my sickly sweet scents too much!

Philosophy Amazing Grace perfume (1.5ml sample vile)

I have smelled this before and I am not a big fan so I’ll be putting this in the bin, it is too old fashioned of a smell for me, very strong and ‘old lady’. Sorry not for me.

I am so pleased with this months box and love how extra they are with the pretty pink packaging and quote cards. Definitely looking forward to picking next months box!

Lush Twilight Haul

Hauls, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

I am back with another Lush haul, not so long ago I was introduced to the Sleepy body lotion and I adored the scent, so when I heard that lush were bringing out more goodies with the same smell in their Christmas range I just had to give them a try. For those who haven’t read the sleepy review you can find it here.

Twilight shower gel -£9.95 250g

I was so excited that this came into the Lush stores, I would often see it in the Lush kitchen but it would always sell out. I’m in love with the soothing lavender scent, mixed with sweet tonka and ylang ylang. This is the perfect shower gel to either run under your bath water to create luxurious bubbles or to use as intended in the shower to wash with, it lathers up really well and you only need a small amount. I will be stocking up on this as I love how the smell lingers and it leaves me so smooth.

Twilight sparkle jar -£6.95

I have tried two of the massage bars from Lush before and enjoyed both of them. They are solid body butters and this particular one has a shimmer effect. You place them into your hand and the natural heat from your body softens them until they are ready to rub on your body. I’m excited to use this over the Christmas period as it leaves a glossy effect on the skin. You can use by itself or you can pierce the two holes on the front to ‘ open’ the jar. Inside is sparkle dust that will give you a intense shimmer look on the skin. Along with the gorgeous sweet lavender smell.

Twilight bath bomb -£3.95

I normally opt for a bubble bar rather then a bath bomb as I think they are better value for money as you can cut them and get multiple uses out of them (I know know I am a cheap skate). But I thought I would treat myself to this one timer. I love the moon and star design, very suitable for the ‘sleep inducing’ theme that this range carries. When I placed it in the bath it started fizzing around leaving rich purple and pink water with glitter, it left my skin feeling very soft and left behind the lavender scent. However it did require a little clean up after which is another reason I prefer a bubble bar!

Have you tried any of the Lush Christmas range? Let me know in the comments below!
