Personalised Phone Cases With CaseApp

Collaborations, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, I was recently contacted but the lovely team at CaseApp be gifted either two phone cases or a phone case and a laptop cover. I don’t have the suitable model to get a laptop cover so I opted for two iPhone cases instead.

If you don’t know what CaseApp is, it’s a phone app/laptop skin service that allows you to personalise your own products by using their ‘design your own’ option or using their pre made templates.

Disclaimer- The items featured in this post were gifted to me but all opinions are honest and my own.

I decided to design my own cases as I love the chance to get creative, the first case I designed was this fun fox and feather print case using pictures off the internet. I’m obsessed with foxes and I’m so pleased how this turned out. The second case I designed is this winter themed pine cone one. I love that you can also choose your finish, either shiny or matte.

These make the perfect gift for a loved one or just a treat for yourself, one thing for sure it’s the perfect item to adorn your phone with, cause let’s face it, if it’s going to be in our hands we might as well make it pretty to look at! These cost £19 and you can get started here.

I also have a discount code for you beauties to get 20% off your first order. Use code ‘ALLTHINGSALLATT20’

Affordable outfits with Everything5Pounds.com

Collaborations, Outfits, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, recently I received a amazing email from Everything5pounds to collaborate and choose four items for free to style. I already was a huge fan of Everything5pounds and frequently put in orders so was frilled to receive some goodies for free.

For those of you who may not know what Everything5pounds is, it’s a clothing website that sell everything from women’s clothing, men’s clothing, kids clothing, shoes, accessories and homeware at the amazing price of (you guessed it) £5 per item.

I apologise that the photos are indoors, I did plan to shoot these over the weekend but the weather was horrendous so indoor shots will have to do!

Disclaimer- a few of the clothing items featured in this post were gifted to me but all opinions are honest and my own.

The first item I picked was this stunning Knitted Fringed Trim Poncho. I really love the ‘Burberry’ vibes and it’s super warm and comfy. Absolutely perfect for the autumn weather at the moment. I styled this with a pair of faux leather trousers (also from everything5pounds that I bought separately) and my H&M baker hat.

I still can’t believe this is only £5!

The second item I picked up is this Window Pane Printed Sheer Jumpsuit it’s such a soft light material and can be style casual with converse or heeled boots or can be dressed up with heels. I love the fit of this jumpsuit (I always size up on this site as things tend to come up small)

The last two items I picked is a outfit to lounge in, the first being this gorgeous Heart Knitted Jumper, It’s so soft and feels so good on the skin. Paired with these Causal Tie Up Jogging Trousers which are super comfy and fit like a dream. The perfect outfit to be lazy in!

As a little treat for you guys I was given a limited use code to give you 5% off. Use code ‘REBECCA_5’

What do you think about the items I picked? Have you ever shopped at everything5pounds? Let me know in the comments below!

Benefit Magical Brow Stars Gift Set.

Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, you may remember that a few weeks ago I was invited to a Benefit event to talk about the 2018 Christmas goodies that have recently launched. I was already a huge fan of their brow products and this new gift set caught my eye so I thought I would share my thoughts as it’s a fab set for anyone who loves doing their brows.

Disclaimer- This posts contains affiliate links but all opinions and reviews are as always, honest and my own.

This limited edition brow set contains 5 FULL-SIZE faves, 1 PRO tool and brow tips & tricks…all at an AMAZING VALUE! From brow pencils to powders to gels and more, this set has everything you need to transform your brows..all in an adorable magic brow trunk worth £118

Packaging

Benefit can do no wrong when it comes to packaging, always so bright and playful with it’s bold text, colours and imagery. I love that this set comes in a little magic trunk, this will definitely be used as storage afterwards.

Contents

Inside you will find five brow products and one handy brush. It literally has everything you need and then some to create either a natural looking brow or a statement one. I’ve linked all products where to buy them separately if you don’t want the whole set.

Benefit Goof Proof Eyebrow Filling & Shaping pencil

This is a new product to me, I’m always skeptical of Brow pencils because they often are quite dry and scratchy but this is the opposite. It has a easy to use twist up device that saves the need of having to sharpen it. The texture is very smooth and it’s super easy to apply, either to outline the brows or to fill them in fully. This dries down to a matte finish. This is the perfect product for those who want a fuller more pigmented brow. This costs £20.50 to buy separately.

Benefit Precisely, My Brow Pencil

This pencil is different to the one above as it has a ultra fine end that draws natural looking hair like strokes. Although it wasn’t drying and the formula was spot on for me, I had to use quite a lot of product as my brows are thicker. I definitely prefer a larger tip to really cover my brows. This costs £20.50 to buy separately.

Benefit Gimme Brow+ Volumising Tinted Brow gel

I always have to set my brows as they are quite fluffy so can end up going astray, i like a brow gel that has a tint to add that much needed bit of colour back into my brow. It contains tiny microfibres to add volume and definition. I love the small tapered brush that makes it super easy to get into the edges. This costs £20.50 to buy separately.

Benefit Ka-Brow Eyebrow Cream-Gel colour

This product is one of my go to brow products for a simple natural brow, it’s A Pomade with a gel like texture, it applies well with a angled brush and looks so soft and gives my brows the much needed colour in areas where they are sparse. This lasts me months and costs £20.50 to buy separately.

Benefit Foolproof Eyebrow Building Powder

The last product in the set is something for the full ‘instagram’ brow look lover. This has a velevely smooth finish and makes short work of any sparse areas. It is split into light and dark in the pan to create a gradual look to the brows. I found it super easy to use with a angled brush, although I do use this very lightly as it’s a little too pigmented for my taste. This costs £20.50 to buy separately.

Benefit Brow Defining & Blending Tool

In this kit you will also find a really handy duel ended brow brush. On one end there’s a angled brush which in my opinion is the best brush I’ve used to apply brow products. This can be used to apply gels, creams, waxes and powders. On the other end is a great quality spoolie to brush though the hairs. This costs £16.50 to buy separately.

Price

This set is priced at £49.59 which is a bargain considering it would cost you £118 to buy these items separately! If you’re interested in buying you can find it here.

My go to natural looking brow using Gimme Brow+ and Ka-Brow Gel.

A fuller, darker brow using the Goof Proof pencil and the Foolproof Building powder.

MAC Cosmetics Favourites Old & New

Makeup Looks, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, we all have a handful of brands that we love when it comes to makeup and MAC cosmetics are in my top 5. I first fell in love with them when I tried their studio fix Fluid foundation and knew I had to try so much more. I have put together my favourite products, some old favourites and some that I have newly discovered!

Disclaimer- This posts contains affiliate links but all opinions and reviews are as always, honest and my own.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation

The first product I wanted to start with is my holy grail foundation. I have been using this for over 6 or seven years now and i still haven’t found a foundation that is as good! It has a medium coverage that can easily be built up to full, has a amazing colour range with a incredible 64 shades, looks so flawless on the skin, photographs well and most importantly lasts all day on my dry skin without needing a touch up. I can never be without this foundation and always make sure I have a back up bottle ready! It’s also worth buying the £4.50 reusable pump from MAC as this foundation doesn’t come with one. This retails at £26 for 30ml and I use the shade NC15.

MAC Instacurl Lash Mascara

A few weeks ago I found this mascara in TK Maxx for a bargain £7. I hadn’t tried any mascaras from MAC before so thought what a great way to test. I’m so glad I did as this mascara makes my lashes look so full and fluffy without giving the caked on spider leg effect. I really like the shape and design of the packaging as well as the wand. This makes it easy to get into every lash including the corner and bottom lashes. I find this super easy to take off and it doesn’t transfer throughout the day. This normally retails for £20.

MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish

I was first inspired but this highlighter by fellow blogger Mufavourites when she reviewed it not so long a go. This extra dimension skin finish in the shade ‘whisper of gilt’ was first launched last year as a limited edition Christmas item (you may remember its festive snow flake design) but has since been rereleased this year. I’m a sucker for a light gold highlight, it’s suits my pale skin tone without leaving a cast and leaves a gorgeous wet look sheen to the skin, making it look healthy and giving it a inner glow. This can be worn natural by applying lightly or more intense by layering it or spritzing some setting spray before hand to make it blinding. This costs £25.50.

MAC Extra Dimension Blush

Im a huge fan of a bright pink blush and have lots of matte finishes so wanted to pick up a something with a shimmer. This Extra Dimension blush is in shade ‘sweets for my sweet’ which is a gorgeous candy pink with rose gold shimmers. I love that this can be worn really sheer for a pop of natural, healthy colour or built up for a more intense look. I will definitely be picking this blush up in a coral shade for summer as it doesn’t cling to texture and I love the smooth formula. This costs £23.

MAC Matte Lipstick

New to my collections are a few of MAC’s cult matte lipsticks. I had never tried them before and I’m so glad I have. They have a really smooth application thanks to the creamy formula and dry down to a matte. They have great staying power and don’t make the lips look or feel dry as it dries down. I picked up the shades ‘Beatrix’ which is a vampy berry shade with a metallic finish. Shade ‘modern temptress’ which a dark red with a brown undertone and ‘chilli’ which is a stunning dark smoked red. All three of these colours are perfect for autumn/winter and I can’t wait to add more to my collection. These cost £17.50 each.

MAC Mini Lipstick

Another lipstick newbie but this time in a mini version. Recently MAC released their cult lipsticks in a mini form for travel purposes or just for people to try out their formula for those who don’t want to spend full price. I picked up the shade ‘Twirl’ which is terracotta brown. These cost £10.

MAC Lip Pencil Liner

Lastly we have a lip liner, this came as part of a duo set with one of the full sized lipsticks above. This lipliner in the shade ‘auburn’ is the perfect shade to pair with the lipstick ‘chilli’. The pencils formula is super smooth and creamy and oh so pigmented. This can be used to line the lips or used to draw all over for a full colour. This costs £14.

From left to right- Lip Liner shade ‘auburn’, Mini lipstick shade ‘whirl’, Matte lipstick shade ‘chilli’. Matte lipstick shade ‘modern temptress’, Matte lipstick shade ‘Beatrix’, Extra Dimension blush shade ‘sweets for my sweet’ and Extra Dimension skin finish shade ‘whisper of gilt’.

Huda Beauty Amethyst Obsessions Palette. Swatches & Eye Looks

Makeup Looks, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, as promised I’m back with another of the Gemstone Obsessions eyeshadow palettes from Huda Beauty. This time we will be taking a look at the Amethyst palette. Keep reading for a review, swatches and two eye looks.

A dream come true for those Huda-holics who can’t squeeze their palettes into overstretched make up bags (or those yet to sample her game-changing shadows) this Amethyst Obsessions Palette unites a spectrum of nine pigment-packed powders – six vibrant duo-chrome shimmers and three creamy mattes – in shades ranging from moody mauve and violet to barely there pink.

Packaging

Just like the previous obsessions palettes this has the same packaging and layout. The eyeshadows are housed in a sturdy thick card box with a magnetic lid to keep your eyeshadows safe. On the underside of the lid there’s a great quality mirror. This little palette is a handy size for travelling, I love the purple as it’s a perfect fit for the Amethyst theme.

Shades

This palette contains 9 shades, which consist of 3 mattes and 6 shimmers. This palette is perfect for those who love to play with pinks and purples and there’s enough shades to be able to create a handful of looks. The shimmers are duo chrome and look truly stunning.

Formula

I wanted to talk first about the shimmers, I can’t express just how rich they are in pigment, they have a creamy, soft formula and apply so beautifully. I like to use these by packing them on with a flat eyeshadow brush and spritzing a little fixing spray onto the brush/shadow. Moving onto the mattes, unfortunately these didn’t live up to the other two palettes I have reviewed. They’re very dry and almost chalky, as you will see in the swatches that they look a little patchy. I did manage to make them work though with a really fluffy brush and lots of blending.

Swatches

Eye Looks

Using shades ‘3’ to create the shape, shade ‘4’ to deepen the outer corner and lower lash. Shade ‘6’ in the centre of the lid and outer corner and shade ‘5’ in the inner corner.

Using shade ‘3’ to create the shape and shade ‘8’ in the centre of a halo effect and on the lower lash line.

Price

This palette will cost you £25 and you can find it on Cult Beauty here.

What do you think of this palette? What’s your favourite look of the two? Let me know in the comments below!

Huda Beauty Topaz Obsessions Palette, Swatches & Eye Look

Makeup Looks, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, hope you’re having a good Monday, I’m back today with the second of the new Huda Beauty Obsession palettes. The Topaz obsessions is perfect for those who like warm shades and it just screams autumn/fall. Keep reading for review, swatches and two eye looks.

A dream come true for those Huda-holics who can’t squeeze their palettes into overstretched make up bags (or those yet to sample her game-changing shadows) this Topaz Obsessions Palette unites nine pigment-packed powders – four vibrant duo-chrome shimmers and five creamy mattes –  in rich rose gold, amber, burnished bronzes and tangerine orange for the ultimate sophisticated polish.

Packaging

This palette has the same packaging as the rest of the obsessions palettes but with the exception of it being a gorgeous burnt orange colour to match the topaz theme. The shadows are nicely spaced out, this makes it easy to dip your eyeshadow brushes into the pan without picking up another colour. On the underside of the lid you will find a great quality mirror. Its compact size makes this palette perfect for travelling, this is the pocket rocket of palettes.

Shades

This palette has 9 shades, which consists of 5 mattes and 4 shimmers. There is enough shades in this palette to create a handful of warm looks.

Formula

Starting with the matte shades, they have the same formula as the emerald obsessions, very smooth with little fallout. Unfortunately I didn’t find the mattes as pigmented as other obsessions palettes. They needed building up for a great colour payoff and the dark brown shade on the last row was very patchy. The shimmers however are amazing, they have a super creamy formula that are packed with pigment and blend out easily. There is a small amount of fallout with the shimmers so go careful not to push too hard in the pan.

  • Yellow toned orange matte
  • Rich copper shimmer
  • Burnt orange matte
  • Warm gold shimmer
  • Salmon pink matte

  • Dark bronze shimmer
  • Chocolate brown matte
  • Terracota Orange
  • Light bronze shimmer

Using shades ‘5’ for the transition. Shade ‘3’ to create the shape, shade ‘7’ to deepen the outer corner and bottom lash line and ‘4’ in the centre of the lid.

Using shade ‘8’ on the outer corner to create the shape. Shade ‘5’ in the inner corner and shade ‘7’ on the bottom lash line. Winged liner using Kat Von D Tattoo Liner.

Price

This palette cost £25 and you can find it here

What is your favourite look of the two? What do you think of the Topaz Obsessions palette? Let me know in the comments below!

Halloween 2018 Makeup Picks

Favourites, Makeup Looks, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, today’s post is a few of my favourite makeup up picks that will be seeing me through the spooky season. I have created two creepy looks below too!

Disclaimer- This posts contains affiliate links but all opinions and reviews are as always, honest and my own.

Danessa Myricks Vision Cover cream foundation

One of my favourite makeup artists has her own makeup line and is now being sold in the UK! The way she makes skin look is so incredible so I knew I had to pick up her foundation. It provides full coverage and I only have to use one pump to cover everything. The finish is semi matte and makes the skin look like silk. This is the perfect base to wear on its own daily or as a base for applying colourful face paints for your costumes.

Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray

Name a better setting spray than the All Nighter. I’ll wait! Jokes aside this setting spray is a game changer for your makeup. I use this after using all my powder products to 1. Set everything in place and 2. Make my powders look less dry. It’s pricey at £24 but I won’t be without this miracle in a bottle. I often get it when it’s on offer in the Debenhams promotion!

Sleek I-divine Bad Girl eyeshadow palette

I’m pretty sure I included this palette in my 2017 halloween favourites and it still does the job. It has everything you need to create a intense smokey eye. It has the most gorgeous plum purple and royal blue, along with a gun metal silver and the most pigmented matte black. I don’t think it’s currently being sold anymore but I have found it on amazing for less than £6. It’s so pigmented too!

Phoera Red single eyeshadow

I used this in a full face of eBay makeup video not so long a go. It’s always a real struggle to find a bright red that’s not dry, patchy and is pigmented. This single eyeshadow is the most gorgeous classic red. The colour payoff is insane and it’s super easy to work with. I picked this up for a bargain £2.18.

Illamasqua Beyond Powder highlighter

I reviewed this not so long ago here. It’s a very finely milled white highlighter with the most ghoulish green shimmer to do it, perfect if you’re after something a little different to the pink, gold or champagne highlighters and perfect to add to a spooky look.

Sleek Highlighting Elixir drops

This liquid highlighter is new to my makeup collection. I love that this can be used two ways, as a highlighter and mixed into foundation for a dewy effect. I did both in the second look below and it really changed to the appearance of the foundation. I love the peachy pink shade and the wet look sheen it provides without any chunky glitter.

NYX Soft Matte lip cream

Is it Halloween without a dark lip, I love being able to play with out there colours like this NYX matte lip cream in the shade ‘Moscow’ which is a navy blue. I am a big fan of the formula of the Soft matte lip creams.

Eyes using Sleek I divine bad girl, lips using NYX Matte lip cream in shade ‘moscow’

NYX Strictly Vinyl lip gloss

I recently reviewed a few items from the NYX Strictly Vinyl collection here. I love a glossy finish and this shade ‘femme fatale’ which is a stunning black just screams Halloween. I love it paired with this bright red eye for a contrast of colour.

Eyes using Phoera single eyeshadow in shade ‘red’ and lips using NYX Strictly Vinyl lip gloss shade ‘femme fatale’

Which of the two looks is your favourite? What are your Halloween picks this years? Let me know in the comments below!

Obsession Halloween Palettes. Review, Swatches & Eye Looks

Makeup Looks, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, as you can already tell by the amazing makeup looks that people are creating on social media and the Halloween props in the stores, the spooky season is in full swing. But what if you don’t want to create a full on make up look for your Halloween shenanigans? I came across two palettes that are perfect for creating some simple Halloween looks that I wanted to share here with you beauties.

Disclaimer- This posts contains affiliate links but all opinions and reviews are as always, honest and my own.

Both palettes are a from a brand called Obsession which have recently been stocked at Boots in the UK but can be bought at Revolution Beauty. They are mainly known for their single pans but have now branched out into lots of other makeup products with bargain price points.

Packaging-

The packaging is similar for both palettes so I decided to include them in one section. The first thing that has to be said is how large the pan size is, think what a size of a average blush palette would be. I also love the clear lid so you can see what’s inside. Plus a little holographic text never hurt anyone.

Formula-

The first palette is the Obsession Be Very Afraid eyeshadow palette.
This has 8 shades, this includes 4 mattes, 2 shimmers and 2 fun pressed glitters. This is definitely perfect for those who like to create a darker smokey eye. I can see this working well for a simple vampire or witch look for Halloween.

I found the mattes to be a little on the dry side but they were workable. Each shade has great pigmentation with the exception of the shade ‘eerie’ which was quite patchy. The glitters are what appealed this palette to me and I was really pleased to find that they were not patchy. I found using my finger and pressing them onto the lid was the best way to apply.

Price-

This is priced at a amazing £5 which is a absolute bargain and can be bought here. This is a fab price for the colours and the pan size, you can definitely create and handful of looks with just the one palette.

Shades- ‘no sleep, spooked, panic and corrupt’

Shades- ‘eerie, creepy, petrify and desecrate’

Using shade ‘no sleep’ for transition, shade ‘corrupt’ to create the shape. Shade ‘creepy’ in the centre of the lid, shade ‘spooked’ under the eye and shade ‘panic’ on the inner corner.

Formula-

Next up is the Obsession Be A Unicorn eyeshadow palette which is something for you girly fans out there. It includes 8 sickly sweet shades for creating a magical unicorn for Halloween or festival. Inside you will find 3 mattes, 3 shimmers and two pressed glitters.

The formula is very consistent with the palette above, slightly on the dry side but super easy to blend out with a fluffy brush. Each shade has great pigmentation and the pressed glitters in this palette are truely stunning. I had to create a look with the shade ‘immortal’ as it’s a two toned glitter.

Price-

This palette also costs an amazing £5 and can be found here.

Shades- ‘alternative, magic dust, immortal and entranced’

Shades- ‘creature, unconventional, elixir and eternal’

Using shade ‘alternative ‘ as transition, shade ‘entranced’ to create the shape. Shade ‘immortal ‘ in the centre of the lid and shade ‘magic dust’ in the inner corner and brow bone.

What do you think of these bargain palettes? Have you ever tried anything from Obsession before? Let me know in the comments below.

Huda Beauty Emerald Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette. Swatches & Eye Looks

Makeup Looks, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, if you follow my Instagram then you would have seen in my stories that I managed to get my hands on the new Huda Beauty Precious Obsessions palettes that have just been released. I loved the formula of a few of the first palettes so knew I had to collect the gemstone themed ones as soon as they launched. I will be doing separate reviews, swatches and two eye looks with each palette. Starting off with the Emerald Obsessions.

A dream come true for those Huda-holics who can’t squeeze their palettes into overstretched make up bags (or those yet to sample her game-changing shadows) this Emerald Obsessions Palette unites a spectrum of nine pigment-packed powders – six vibrant duo-chrome shimmers and three creamy mattes – in shades ranging from mint or golden olive to timeless emerald and show-stopping peacock green.

Packaging

They have opted for the same shape and size as the other obsessions palettes which is great for me as although they are small, makes for easy storage and are travel friendly. Each pan is easy to get to without accidentally dipping into another colour and there is the added bonus of having a mirror too! There is a metallic bit that keeps the lid down and the box is a sturdy thick cardboard.

Formula

Just like the previous obsessions palettes these have a smooth formula. The mattes are silky with a small amount of fallout and each shade is pigmented, with the exception of the mint green shade swatched below which was fairly patchy and needed extra work. The shimmers are what really stand out in this palette, they’re super buttery and have a really intense pigment. All shades were really easy to blend and I find wetting a brush works best to apply the shimmers as there’s a fair amount of fall out.

Shades

Inside you will find 9 shades, which consist of three mattes and six duochrome shimmers. There’s enough diversity in this palette to create a handful of looks, wether that be something natural or more intense. I really like how each colour compliments the other and the colours just flow so you won’t struggle with how to use certain shades.

Eye Looks

EmeraldUsing shade ‘6’ to create the shape. Shade ‘5’ in the centre of the lid and shade ‘1’ to highlight the inner corner and brow bone.

SwampUsing shade ‘7’ for the transition. Shade ‘8’ to create the shape. Shade ‘4’ to deepen the outer corner. Shade ‘5’ on the centre of the lid and shade ‘9’ to highlight the brow bone and inner corner.

Price

The price of this palette is £25 and be found here.

What do you think of this palette? Will you be picking up any of the new Huda Beauty obsessions? Let me know in the comments below!

Benefit #BrowsOverBase Event. Christmas Launch

Collaborations, Lifestyle, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, the lovely Georgia who works for Benefit was kind enough to invite me and a few other blogger babes to the Brows Over Base event. This was to talk about a few new releases, the Christmas/holiday gift sets that have just launched and a mini masterclass. I wanted to share some pictures from the event along with some information about the fab gift sets on offer from Benefit for the festive season.

This set includes BADgal BANG Mascara (one of my favs), a The POREfessional Primer, a High Brow highlighting pencil and a Gogotint lip & cheek stain mini. I also wanted to share with you these cute mini Stocking Fillers which will make great secret santa presents or just something to hang on the tree for a loved one. These range from £10.50- £12.50.

Here we see Georgia giving the lovely Marta a makeover and I loved the way the Hello Happy Foundation looked on her and have since picked it up!

There is definitely something for the Makeup/skincare lover when it comes to gifts or even if you want to pick up a few bits for yourself and save some money along the way! A huge thanks for the invite!
