Benefit #BrowsOverBase Event. Christmas Launch

Collaborations, Lifestyle, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, the lovely Georgia who works for Benefit was kind enough to invite me and a few other blogger babes to the Brows Over Base event. This was to talk about a few new releases, the Christmas/holiday gift sets that have just launched and a mini masterclass. I wanted to share some pictures from the event along with some information about the fab gift sets on offer from Benefit for the festive season.

Disclaimer- This posts contains affiliate links but all opinions and reviews are as always, honest and my own.

Benefit are well known for their eyebrow products and two of my holy grail brow products are from Benefit (Ka Brow & Gimme Brow).

This first gift set I wanted to share with you today is something for those of you who love doing your brows. Enter the Magical Brow Stars gift set, which includes four full sized brow products and a slanted brush with a spoolie on the other end.

Inside you will find:

Foolproof Brow Powder, Goofproof brow Pencil, Ka- BROW Cream Gel, Gimme Brow+ and Precisely, My Brow Pencil.

I picked this up to stock up on my current favourites and also try some new brow products along the way as I saved so much money by buying the gift set. It’s priced at a bargain £49.50 when the contents value is £118, it literally has everything you need to create the perfect brow and makes the perfect gift for yourself or a loved one. This comes in two shades, medium 3 (which is my shade for reference) and Deep 5. I will be doing a separate review of this set shortly so keep your eyes out for that!

The second gift set I wanted to show you beauties is their new Blush Bar which has four blushes and a contour/bronzing powder. Inside you will find (one of my personal faves) GALifornia, Gold Rush, Dandelion, Rockateur and the well known Hoola. Each blush has a different shade, some matte and some shimmery. This blush bar costs £49.50 with a content value of £127.50 and makes the perfect gift for a loved one who love their makeup.

Next up we have some new gift box launches which have such fun packaging, shaped like a luxurious three tier cake but in tin form, I’d definitely be reusing that packaging to store things in.

The blue cake pictured above is the Goodie Goodie Gorgeous set which contains three of Benefits best sellers. This set includes a full sized They’re Real Mascara, a full sized matte Hoola bronzer and a mini The POREfessional Pearl primer. This costs £35.50 with a contents value of £57.50

The purple cake (pictured below) is the Confection Cuties set which contains three minis. Inside is The Porefessional, Roller Lash and Gimmie Brow+. This a great set for those who haven’t tried Benefit before. This is priced at £14.50 with a content value of £31.50. This minis also come in handy to travel with.

Next we have the green cake which is for the skin care lovers. This set is the B. Right! Delights! This includes a full sized Total Moisture face cream, Browvo Conditioning Primer (full size), a funsise It’s Potent eye cream and a funsize Instant Comeback facial serum. This costs £39.50 with a content value of £70.42.

Pictured below is the pale pink cake which is Gimme Some Sugar set which includes a full sized Roller Lash Mascara, a full size The POREfessional Primer, full sized Hoola bronzer and a full sized High Beam highlighter. This costs £39.50 and has a contents value of £96.50 which is a amazing bargain! I’ll be picking this up for myself as I need a new Hoola bronzer and want to try the highlighter.

Lastly we have the dark pink cake which is the Triple Decker Decadence which had 4 full sized Benefit best sellers inside. This set includes BADgal BANG Mascara (one of my favs), a The POREfessional Primer, a High Brow highlighting pencil and a Gogotint lip & cheek stain mini. This set costs £34.50 with a contents value of £78.50

I also wanted to share with you these cute mini Stocking Fillers which will make great secret santa presents or just something to hang on the tree for a loved one. These range from £10.50- £12.50.

Here we see Georgia giving the lovely Marta a makeover and I loved the way the Hello Happy Foundation looked on her and have since picked it up!

There is definitely something for the Makeup/skincare lover when it comes to gifts or even if you want to pick up a few bits for yourself and save some money along the way! A huge thanks for the invite!

Lush Christmas Bathtime Favourites

Hauls, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, I have been loving reading all the ‘What I got for Christmas’ posts and although I don’t plan on doing a detailed one of what I received I did want to do a review on this fab gift set that my boyfriend got me (he knows me well or just thinks I smell haha).

IMG_0665 (2)

I love how creative Lush were this Christmas and loved nearly all of their limited edition Xmas products. This set is called the Christmas Bathtime Favourites and inside you will find nine of their Christmas themed bath bombs!. I love the packaging of this box, especially the purple ribbon that makes it look so fancy. I will definitely be keeping the hat box in my bathroom to store my lush goodies in throughout the year.

Sherbet Dip bath bomb 185g

As it’s name suggests it’s shaped just like the sherbet lemon sweets and I think this is such a fun idea!. It has a mouthwatering scent of lemon and contains lemon, grapefruit and orange essential oils and makes the bath water a luminous yellow.

Butter Bear bath bomb 75g

This adorable bear shaped bear bomb is one of my favourites for how soft it makes your skin after the bath. It smells like chocolate and vanilla. However it isn’t very exciting in the water but does make you gorgeously smooth thanks to the cocoa butter.

Snow Fairy jelly bomb 180g

This one I am kind of nervous about trying, after trying the ‘dark arts’ jelly bomb and that being a total fail. The jelly getting all stuck in my hair (was such a nightmare). It smells like the typical bubble gum sweet scent of the Snow Fairy range and it does look really appealing. However I will be using this on a day I don’t need to wash my hair. Fingers crossed there isn’t the same horrendous clean up that I had before. Pray for me!.

Shoot For The Stars bath bomb 200g

I LOVE the appearance of this bath bomb, a bright blue bomb with golden embedded stars. This makes a gorgeous blue explosion and leaves magical glittery water. It has a sweet toffee scent and the stars are made of body butter which melts to leave you beautifully soft.

Golden Wonder bath bomb 200g

Shaped like a present, it is the perfect gift or Christmas themed bath bomb for the festive season. This feels really heavy when held in the hand and really peaks my interest on what’s inside and what colour it makes the water. Spoiler! It makes a gorgeous blue and green explosion and leaves the water blue. It has a fresh citrusy scent.

Nevermind The Ballistics bath bomb 200g

With the Sex Pistol name reference this bath bomb had to be cool. It is a bomb that is dipped in a butter melt coating and has a orange scent thanks to the orange oils. This makes silky orange water and is very appealing to watch once it’s been placed in the tub.

Luxury Lush Pud bath bomb 200g

It is not Christmas without a Christmas pudding and I love all the colours in this aptly themed bath bomb. With a scent of lavender and Tonka it is a very calming smell, perfect for bedtime. It starts of foaming pink then explosions of different colours start appearing it’s amazing!leaving a rich pink water.

Christmas Sweater bath bomg 200g

This is such a creative idea for a bath bomb for Christmas, we all love the tacky Christmas jumpers which it is designed to look like. Offering a warm and spiced scent to make you feel toasty and relaxed. Perfect for the colder weather. This makes deep red and and orange foamy water.

Thundersnow bath bomb 200g

Looking just like it’s name ‘thunderstorm’ this fun mix of colours makes me intrigued to see the result in the water. With a peppermint and cocoa scent which is so heavenly, something that will give you a real pick me up. Making a explosion of blue and green water.

I hope you liked this review, I can’t wait to get started using all these bombs, they are way too pretty to use mind!

Festive Makeup Picks

Product Reviews, Uncategorized

It is getting ridiculously close to Christmas and I’m so excited! I’m back today with some makeup picks but this time with a festive twist. I have put together a list of products that I have been loving and will see you through your celebrations.

*Disclaimer* This post includes affiliate links. That being said I will always give my honest thoughts and reviews on any product featured.

Jeffree Star Velour liquid lipstick shade ‘redrum’

A classic red can be used at any time of the year, but nothing is more Christmassy then a glam red lip. Wear it matte or with a gloss. I love the smooth formula and how long lasting this is on the lips without it being drying.

Rimmel Lip Art lipgloss shade ‘010’

I have been using this in quite a few of my recent makeup tutorials. It is a gloss with a iridescent finish. This can be worn on its own or on top of a lip shade to add dimension and a sheen effect. Super glam.

Lime Crime Metallic Velvetine shade ‘posh’

There is something so festive about a metallic lip shade and this rich purple shade is one of my favourites. It is great if you don’t want to commit to wearing dark purple lipsticks. As always I love the Lime Crime formula and the metallic finish is so beautiful and long lasting which is a must when continuously sipping your drinks to celebrate!.

Lord & Berry shiny lip pencil shade ‘diva’

This is a new product for me and I have just reviewed this in my latest beauty box. I’m loving it so much, it’s a gorgeous glossy deep purple shade and looks stunning on the lips, very vampy. I really like that it’s in pencil form, making it super easy to apply. I have been pairing this lip shade with with a gold glittery eye.

Calvin Klein Luxury Creme lipstick shade ‘henna’

Can’t forget a pinky nude lipstick for those who like a more natural party look. The forumla is so incredibly creamy and glides onto the lips. It has a satin finish and is super moisturising.

W7 Metal Kiss liquid lipstick shade ‘heavenly’

Another metallic lipstick but this time for someone with the mantra ‘go hard or go home’. This is a stunning metallic copper shade with little flecks of glitter. Although it has a thick formula it is very easy to apply and looks amazing on the lips. Not one I would necessarily wear day to day but definitely for a party or night out paired with a basic eye look.

Models Own nail polish shade ‘disco mix’

Glittery nails are a must for me this time of year, I love this mixed glitter polish from Models Own. It has blue, silver and pink glitter. It’s fabulous!

Sally Hansen nail polish shade ‘Rudolph red’

A red to match your red lips but with a metallic twist. I am a big fan of the Sally Hansen range for how long wearing they are.

Ciate paint pot shade ‘sand dune’

A gorgeous shimmery gold with little flecks of glitter, this looks beautiful on its own or used as a topper when layered on another colour. I like to pair this with a nude nail polish.

Barry M Molten Metal nail polish shade ‘silver lining’

A highly pigmented silver metallic shade. For bold nails or funky nail art. I love the other shades in Barry M molten metal range. I seriously recommend checking them out if metallic is your thing.

Jolie Beauty Luxe Glitz palette

One of my favourites palettes. I use it mainly for the pressed glitter but the matte eyeshadows are also brilliant if you want to do a matte eye look with glitter detailing. You don’t need any glitter fixing gel to use these, simply apply with your finger and it stays put. I have created a eye look with this that will be up on Friday!.

Makeup Revolution highlighting palette

Those of you who are regular to my blog will know how much I love a poppin highlight. I recently bought this trio of highlighters and have fallen in love with them. It comes with a champagne colour, peach and a pink. They are really pigmented and give of the most gorgeous glow without being chalky.

The Body Shop Frosted Berries Body Trio

Hauls, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

So I may have accidently fell in into The Body Shop, when I say accidently I mean I received a email that they have a buy one get one half deal on their bath and body products. Todays post is on the Frosted Berries range from The Body Shops Christmas range.

Frosted Berries Sugar Scrub

One of my favourite things to do in the tub is to scrub scrub scrub!, This has a gorgeous strong berry scent and smells like a winter berry pie (mmmm). I was able to test this out in store as I only like to use scrubs that don’t have large grains to exfoliate with as they are too harsh for my skin, this is just the right texture to get rid of any dead skin and left me with the smoothest finish. I love that it left my skin smelling so scrummy after the bath too. I will definitely be stocking up on this before they take it off the shelves after the festive period. This cost £15 for a 250ml tub.

Frosted Berries Body Lotion

As expected this has the same berry pie scent as the scrub, The first thing that made me want to buy the lotion rather than the body butter is the thickness of the cream. I sometimes find the body butters too thick and they leave a annoying greasy residue, so the gel formula of this lotion is perfect as it sinks in quickly leaving nothing but amazingly soft skin and a lingering scent that stayed even in the evening when I was putting my jammies on. I love the fact that this has a handy pump too, making for easy use rather then digging in to the tubs. This is £8.50 for 250ml.

Frosted Berries Shower Gel

Lastly, I couldn’t not pick up the matching shower gel, again with the same scent as the above two products. This comes in a squeezy bottle and I had no problems with it coming out when using. With a runny formula which I found lathered really well and I didn’t need to use a lot when washing. I also used it under a running tap as bubble bath and it made a huge amount of bubbles and filled my bathroom with the yummiest aroma. This cost £5 for 250ml.

I did look out for the body mist from this range as well as the hand cream but sadly they were out of stock. They also sell candles in the Christmas scents which I plan on buying. They also have a Frosted Plum and Vanilla Chai range as part of their seasonal limited edition products so go in and have a sniff of their products as they are heavenly!.

Have you ever tried any of The Body Shops products? What are your favs?. Let me know in the comments below.
