Christmas Style In Collaboration with Femme Luxe Finery

Collaborations, Outfits, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, I’m back with another clothing collaboration. In today’s post I will be styling up four items that Femme Luxe Finery kindly gifted me to review from their Dresses collection.

Disclaimer- the items in this post were sent to me as a gift to review, as always opinions are honest and my own.

The first item is the Star Mustard knit long sleeve tie front wrap dress which is so soft and comfortable, it’s a given you want to look good for your Christmas parties and outings buts it’s also important to stay warm, which is why I like this knitted jumper dress. I love the V-neck and how you can wear it slightly off the shoulder too! I styled it with some glam fringed earrings from Primark, some matching red open toed shoes from Pull & Bear and a cute envelope leopard print bag from Accessorize.

Next is the Eliana cream knit high neck oversized jumper dress which is another pick I chose for warmth, this can be worn casual with tights and boots and a leather jacket or smart with a a pair of thigh high boots and baker hat. I’d wear this to a meal or to a Christmas market with a warm coat. I love the roll neck detailing and the 70s style wide sleeve. Hat is from H&M and boots from ASOS.

For the party dresses we have the Roslyn black cold shoulder wrap front midi dress which is such a gorgeous sleek LBD. This would be perfect for a Christmas meal or works do. I will be wearing this on a night out with friends. It has a stunning sweetheart shoulder, split at the front and fits so well. I styled this with my Everything5pounds tie up heels and New Look earrings.

Lastly Taliha mustard dalmatian bow front cut out mini dress which is giving me serious flintstone vibes and I’m here for it. Dalmatian print has been huge this year along with leopard print and this dress has so many fun details. I love the cut out panel, tie up front and buttons down the front as well as the cutest little frills on the sleeve. I paired this with my fringed red earrings and red clutch both from Primark and red open shoes from Pull & Bear.

What do you think of the items I chose? Have you ever shopped at Femme Luxe Finery? Let me know in the comments below’

Luxury Orange & Ginger Hot Chocolate Recipe Ft The Kings Ginger

Collaborations, DIY'S, Lifestyle, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, I was recently contacted but the lovely team at The Kings Ginger to try one of their bottles of Ginger liqueur as a gift. I am already a huge fan of liquors so had to snap up a bottle. I knew exactly what I wanted to make as soon as I received the bottle and smelled it, a tasty luxury hot chocolate that is the perfect winter warmer and oh so festive.

A quirky and high-strength liqueur carefully crafted from the maceration of ginger root and lemon oils, The King’s Ginger is rich in colour and deliciously crisp to taste. Be it in a flask on one’s hip at the races or in a Collins glass over ice in one’s chair, it is indeed a splendid tonic to be appreciated all year round.

Disclaimer- this product was gifted to me for review, as always opinions are honest and my own.

What you will need:

Ingredients

  • Orange flavoured chocolate
  • Milk or Soya (for lactose intolerance)
  • Cocoa powder
  • Cream (optional)
  • The Kings Ginger Liqueur

Utensils

  • Access to a stove/oven top
  • Saucepan
  • Spoon
  • Hot chocolate glass or your favourite mug
  • Grater
  • Shot glass

How to make:

  1. Fill up your glass/mug of choice with milk/soya up to just over half way
  2. Add the measured milk to a pan and set the oven top to a medium heat. Wait until milk is steaming
  3. Add the orange chocolate in squares (leaving some spare for grating)and stir until melted
  4. Add a teaspoon of cocoa powder
  1. Add one shot glass measure of The Kings Ginger to the mixture
  2. Pour into glass/mug
  3. (Optional) Add cream to the top of the hot chocolate
  4. Grate a small amount of the chocolate to create shavings and sprinkle on top of the cream

This makes such a rich and luxurious treat and you bet I’ll be drinking it throughout the winter months. If you are interested in trying a bottle (it can even be used in place of gin with a tonic) then you can find it in Waitrose if you live in the UK.

A huge thanks to the team at The Kings Ginger for sending this my way. Go check out their website (linked above) as they have many other drink and food recipes.

Personalised Phone Cases With CaseApp

Collaborations, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, I was recently contacted but the lovely team at CaseApp be gifted either two phone cases or a phone case and a laptop cover. I don’t have the suitable model to get a laptop cover so I opted for two iPhone cases instead.

If you don’t know what CaseApp is, it’s a phone app/laptop skin service that allows you to personalise your own products by using their ‘design your own’ option or using their pre made templates.

Disclaimer- The items featured in this post were gifted to me but all opinions are honest and my own.

I decided to design my own cases as I love the chance to get creative, the first case I designed was this fun fox and feather print case using pictures off the internet. I’m obsessed with foxes and I’m so pleased how this turned out. The second case I designed is this winter themed pine cone one. I love that you can also choose your finish, either shiny or matte.

These make the perfect gift for a loved one or just a treat for yourself, one thing for sure it’s the perfect item to adorn your phone with, cause let’s face it, if it’s going to be in our hands we might as well make it pretty to look at! These cost £19 and you can get started here.

Affordable outfits with Everything5Pounds.com

Collaborations, Outfits, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, recently I received a amazing email from Everything5pounds to collaborate and choose four items for free to style. I already was a huge fan of Everything5pounds and frequently put in orders so was frilled to receive some goodies for free.

For those of you who may not know what Everything5pounds is, it’s a clothing website that sell everything from women’s clothing, men’s clothing, kids clothing, shoes, accessories and homeware at the amazing price of (you guessed it) £5 per item.

I apologise that the photos are indoors, I did plan to shoot these over the weekend but the weather was horrendous so indoor shots will have to do!

Disclaimer- a few of the clothing items featured in this post were gifted to me but all opinions are honest and my own.

The first item I picked was this stunning Knitted Fringed Trim Poncho. I really love the ‘Burberry’ vibes and it’s super warm and comfy. Absolutely perfect for the autumn weather at the moment. I styled this with a pair of faux leather trousers (also from everything5pounds that I bought separately) and my H&M baker hat.

I still can’t believe this is only £5!

The second item I picked up is this Window Pane Printed Sheer Jumpsuit it’s such a soft light material and can be style casual with converse or heeled boots or can be dressed up with heels. I love the fit of this jumpsuit (I always size up on this site as things tend to come up small)

The last two items I picked is a outfit to lounge in, the first being this gorgeous Heart Knitted Jumper, It’s so soft and feels so good on the skin. Paired with these Causal Tie Up Jogging Trousers which are super comfy and fit like a dream. The perfect outfit to be lazy in!

As a little treat for you guys I was given a limited use code to give you 5% off. Use code ‘REBECCA_5’

What do you think about the items I picked? Have you ever shopped at everything5pounds? Let me know in the comments below!

Classic Wing & Autumnal Red Lip ft Beautybigbang

Collaborations, Makeup Looks, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, the lovely team at Beautybigbang contacted me to try out some makeup items of my choice from their website. I wanted to create a simple look and share some reviews of the items that arrived. I also have a cheeky discount code that I will include at the bottom for you to get 10% off.

Beautybigbang is a online store that stocks makeup, hair, nail, skincare and healthcare products and the best part is everything is super cheap!

Disclaimer: These items were sent to me in exchange for a review. All opinions are honest and my own.

Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Pen

I’m no good when it comes to free handing winged liner, so was pleased to find out this liner had a fine tip. This makes it super easy to create the shape you need without it dragging or the liner bleeding onto the lid. I’m also super impressed with the pigment of this liner, it’s a true jet black. I can see me using this to create some fun graphic looks in the future. This costs £4.55 (currently on sale for £3.03) which is an absolute steal considering it’s a very similar shape to the Kat Von D tattoo liner which retails for £17.

Waterproof Voluminous Mascara

I chose a mascara as I wanted something to pair with the liner. This has a thin brush with tiny bristles that makes it super easy to get into the lashes and coat every single one. This gave me natural looking lashes on the top but really made my bottom lashes look fluffy. This costs £6.83 (currently on sale for £3.79) which again is an absolute bargain!

Matte Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick

Saving the best until last is this gorgeous liquid lipstick in the shade ‘Kathryn’. This has a creamy, smooth formula which dries down to a matte finish. It has a small doe foot applicator which makes it super easy to line the lips. How gorgeous is this colour though, a deep cherry red which is perfect for autumn and really completes the look. This costs £6.07 (currently on sale for £2.27) and has five other shades to choose from.

For a cheeky 10% discount don’t forget to use my code REBEX10 at the checkout.

Buxom Beauty Event Haul

Collaborations, Hauls, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, I recently was invited to a Buxom beauty event ( you can read about that here) and was gifted some amazing goodies to try out and I wanted to share with you what I received and give some mini reviews and swatches!

Disclaimer- Some of the products were gifted to me from a beauty event. As always reviews are honest and my own.

The first product I want to talk about is the Buxom Divine Goddess Illuminator that I got the chance to to try at the event. As soon as I tried it I knew I had to buy it and I’m so glad I did. This is a illuminating cream that can be used as a subtle liquid highlight or mixed in with a foundation for a dewy finish. I love the smooth formula and that it doesn’t have chunky glitter in it. It gives off the most gorgeous iridescent glow and I really like the appearance of my makeup with this underneath. This can also be used on the body and looks so beautiful on the shoulder bones. This costs £21 for 59ml.

Next up is two lip plumping products.

The first, a product that I was gifted for going to the event is the Buxom ‘Full On’ Lip Polish in the shade ‘Sugar’. This is a U.S best selling sheer, shimmering lip polish that plumps up the lips making them look fuller. This has a gorgeous glossy finish with small flecks of glitter. It doesn’t feel gritty though and is the perfect gloss to wear on its own or on top of a lipstick. The vitamin A and E in this keeps your lips soft and protected. This costs £15 for 4.44ml

Secondly another product that I purchased in this gorgeous coral Buxom ‘Full On’ Lip Cream in the shade ‘Mai Tai’. This has a slightly different finish to the gloss above, it is smoother and doesn’t have the glitter in it. This gives a high shine glass finish. I thought this shade would be perfect to wear with my summer looks. I also love how much these plump up my lips and love the fresh tingling sensation it gives. This cost £15 for 4.44ml

I was also lucky enough to be gifted one of the Buxom ‘Big and Sexy’ Matte Gel Lipsticks in the shade ‘Toxic Cherry’. If you are avid reader of my blog you will know how much I live for a red lip. The formula is so smooth thanks to it being a gel and I love how soft it looks on the lip. I will even go as far as to say it’s my new favourite formula and that’s a huge statement. I will definitely be picking up more shades in this lipstick. The only downside is that the shape of the baton is huge so those with smaller lips will struggle with application and will need to apply with a lip brush instead. This costs £15 for 2.6g.

Lastly I received a travel size Buxom ‘Big Tease’ Plumping Mascara. I was really excited to try this after hearing lots of great things about it from the event. It has a pair shaped wand thats really easy to use and helps you get into the lashes and fully coat them. It makes them so much longer and fuller without looking clumpy and looks amazing on the bottom lashes. I will definitely be picking up the full sized version of this when I’ve used this travel one up. It costs £18 for 13ml.

Thank you so much to Buxom for gifting me some of these goodies, overall I’m really impressed with the brand and will definitely be trying out more of their products in the future!

Blogger Collaboration: Top Five Foundations For Dry Skin

Collaborations, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, I’m sure we all know that finding a foundation that bodes well with our skin type is difficult at best, I have dry skin and have struggled in the past with foundations that are too matte clinging to my dry patches.

Today’s post is a blogger collaboration with the lovely Jade from Bellainizio.co.uk. She posts amazing, informative beauty reviews, lifestyle posts and not to mention that she’s a absolute beauty and has the cutest style! We decided to do our top five foundations based on our opposite skin types, mine being dry and hers being oily so all of our readers would be catered for. So if you have oily skin please visit her part of the collaboration here.

Disclaimer- This post contains affiliate links. As always all opinions and reviews are honest and my own.

Revolution Pro Full Cover Camouflage Foundation

Starting off with the foundation with the highest coverage. The newest foundation from Revolution Pro makes short work of covering my old acne scars and eye bags as well as any blemishes I may have, whilst having a creamy satin matte finish. It seems quite matte when you first apply but softens once it warms up to your skins natural temperature, leaving the most flawless looking base that doesn’t cling to dry patches. This costs £7 for 25ml with 18 shades to choose from.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

I don’t always like to wear a full coverage foundation, especially on days when I’m just doing the school run and going about my chores. This foundation gives a medium coverage and contains vitamin C that helps brighten and vitamin E which helps hydrate the skin. It gives the most gorgeous glow from within look and doesn’t show any dry patches or texture thanks to the the dewy finish. This drugstore foundation costs £9.99 for 30ml and only has 9 shades.

Nars All Day Luminous Weightless foundation

The newest edition to my collection is the Nars foundation. I recently reviewed it here. This combines coverage without the heaviness, and a lovely thin formula that blends like a dream and gives you a ‘your skin but better’ look about it. It offers a semi matte finish but is in no way drying, just perfect looking natural skin. This high end beauty costs £35 for 30ml but is worth every penny in my opinion.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

My favourite foundation out of the five is the Too Faced Born this way Foundation, the formula is a god send for dry skin because it’s infused with coconut water which naturally replenishes water levels, hydrating your skin while it covers. It also has hyaluronic acid which the gives the skin a more youthful appearance. This foundation softens out any imperfections without caking or excentuating dry patches. I also love the coverage (medium but it can be built up easily to full). This is the long lasting of the five in terms of wear and it looks the same as when I first apply it by the end of the night. This cost £29 for 30ml and has 24 shades.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation

Lastly is the Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation, this is a must for anyone who likes a super light coverage, it can be built to a medium however. This has a gorgeous dewy finish and makes the skin look so fresh and healthy because of the ‘breathable skin technology’ that helps lock in moisture. It’s £8.99 for 30ml and has 14 shades.

From left to right – Revolution Pro shade ‘f4’, Bourjois Healthy Mix shade ‘rose ivory’ , Nars Luminous shade ‘gobi’, Too Faced Born This Way shade ‘ivory’ and Rimmel Lasting Finish in shade ‘true ivory’
