Lime Crime Lip Spinner Gift Set Review & Swatches

Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, I hope you have had a wonderful weekend! You may have seen this featured in my Christmas guide post already but I wanted to do a full review on this Lime Crime Lip Spinner holiday set because I think it deserves a separate post!

Beloved for their kaleidoscopic spectrum of long-wearing lip pigments and exquisite eye and cheek enhancers, we dare you to resist Lime Crime’s range of criminally covetable products. Dial up the festive fun this Christmas with the Lip Spinner Set – boasting three mini Matte Velvetines and three brand new Glitter Wet Cherry Glosses, simply spin the dial to select your shade (because it’s far too hard to pick our favourite shade from this tempting lot!)

Packaging

How cute is this packaging though? I’m in love with the bold design and the fun Spinner theme, it has a plastic heart in the middle that moves round. I love the bold colours, just what you would expect from Lime Crime! I did struggle getting the lipsticks and glosses out of the plastic packaging though.

Shades

Inside this set there is six mini sized lip products which consist of three of their matte Velvetines and three brand new Wet Cherry glosses. The shades are-

  • ‘Red Rose’ – a blue red
  • ‘Cindy’ – a hazelnut brown
  • ‘Lulu’ – a rose nude
  • ‘Happy cherry’ – a gold flecked apricot
  • ‘Cherry bomb’ – a gold flecked red
  • ‘Fuzzy cherry’ – a gold flecked champagne

Wet Cherry Gloss formula

I’ve already tried a few of the original Wet Cherry glosses and love the formula so was exited to try these brand new holiday shades. They have flecks of glitter mixed in with the gloss and look so pretty on the lips. They provide a intense high shine finish and catch the light so beautifully. These can be worn on their own or on top of a colour for added umph and I find them so comfy on the lips.

Velvetines Liquid Lipstick Formula

Another formula that I am familiar with is the the matte Velvetines liquid lipstick. It’s such a smooth and pigmented cream that is so easy to apply and as the name suggests, looks like velvet on the lips. Although they dry down to a matte finish they’re in no way drying and I love that the lipsticks are really hard wearing too!

Price

This set costs £41 and can be bought from Cult Beauty in the UK here. Although it’s fairly pricey I think this is a wonderful set for those who love Lime Crime, all the shades are so pretty and perfect to travel with thanks to the mini tube size.

What do you think of the shades in this gift set? What’s your favourite Lime Crime product? Let me know in the comment below!

Christmas Style In Collaboration with Femme Luxe Finery

Collaborations, Outfits, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, I’m back with another clothing collaboration. In today’s post I will be styling up four items that Femme Luxe Finery kindly gifted me to review from their Dresses collection.

Disclaimer- the items in this post were sent to me as a gift to review, as always opinions are honest and my own.

The first item is the Star Mustard knit long sleeve tie front wrap dress which is so soft and comfortable, it’s a given you want to look good for your Christmas parties and outings buts it’s also important to stay warm, which is why I like this knitted jumper dress. I love the V-neck and how you can wear it slightly off the shoulder too! I styled it with some glam fringed earrings from Primark, some matching red open toed shoes from Pull & Bear and a cute envelope leopard print bag from Accessorize.

Next is the Eliana cream knit high neck oversized jumper dress which is another pick I chose for warmth, this can be worn casual with tights and boots and a leather jacket or smart with a a pair of thigh high boots and baker hat. I’d wear this to a meal or to a Christmas market with a warm coat. I love the roll neck detailing and the 70s style wide sleeve. Hat is from H&M and boots from ASOS.

For the party dresses we have the Roslyn black cold shoulder wrap front midi dress which is such a gorgeous sleek LBD. This would be perfect for a Christmas meal or works do. I will be wearing this on a night out with friends. It has a stunning sweetheart shoulder, split at the front and fits so well. I styled this with my Everything5pounds tie up heels and New Look earrings.

Lastly Taliha mustard dalmatian bow front cut out mini dress which is giving me serious flintstone vibes and I’m here for it. Dalmatian print has been huge this year along with leopard print and this dress has so many fun details. I love the cut out panel, tie up front and buttons down the front as well as the cutest little frills on the sleeve. I paired this with my fringed red earrings and red clutch both from Primark and red open shoes from Pull & Bear.

What do you think of the items I chose? Have you ever shopped at Femme Luxe Finery? Let me know in the comments below’

Affordable outfits with Everything5Pounds.com

Collaborations, Outfits, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, recently I received a amazing email from Everything5pounds to collaborate and choose four items for free to style. I already was a huge fan of Everything5pounds and frequently put in orders so was frilled to receive some goodies for free.

For those of you who may not know what Everything5pounds is, it’s a clothing website that sell everything from women’s clothing, men’s clothing, kids clothing, shoes, accessories and homeware at the amazing price of (you guessed it) £5 per item.

I apologise that the photos are indoors, I did plan to shoot these over the weekend but the weather was horrendous so indoor shots will have to do!

Disclaimer- a few of the clothing items featured in this post were gifted to me but all opinions are honest and my own.

The first item I picked was this stunning Knitted Fringed Trim Poncho. I really love the ‘Burberry’ vibes and it’s super warm and comfy. Absolutely perfect for the autumn weather at the moment. I styled this with a pair of faux leather trousers (also from everything5pounds that I bought separately) and my H&M baker hat.

I still can’t believe this is only £5!

The second item I picked up is this Window Pane Printed Sheer Jumpsuit it’s such a soft light material and can be style casual with converse or heeled boots or can be dressed up with heels. I love the fit of this jumpsuit (I always size up on this site as things tend to come up small)

The last two items I picked is a outfit to lounge in, the first being this gorgeous Heart Knitted Jumper, It’s so soft and feels so good on the skin. Paired with these Causal Tie Up Jogging Trousers which are super comfy and fit like a dream. The perfect outfit to be lazy in!

As a little treat for you guys I was given a limited use code to give you 5% off. Use code ‘REBECCA_5’

What do you think about the items I picked? Have you ever shopped at everything5pounds? Let me know in the comments below!

MAC Cosmetics Favourites Old & New

Makeup Looks, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, we all have a handful of brands that we love when it comes to makeup and MAC cosmetics are in my top 5. I first fell in love with them when I tried their studio fix Fluid foundation and knew I had to try so much more. I have put together my favourite products, some old favourites and some that I have newly discovered!

Disclaimer- This posts contains affiliate links but all opinions and reviews are as always, honest and my own.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation

The first product I wanted to start with is my holy grail foundation. I have been using this for over 6 or seven years now and i still haven’t found a foundation that is as good! It has a medium coverage that can easily be built up to full, has a amazing colour range with a incredible 64 shades, looks so flawless on the skin, photographs well and most importantly lasts all day on my dry skin without needing a touch up. I can never be without this foundation and always make sure I have a back up bottle ready! It’s also worth buying the £4.50 reusable pump from MAC as this foundation doesn’t come with one. This retails at £26 for 30ml and I use the shade NC15.

MAC Instacurl Lash Mascara

A few weeks ago I found this mascara in TK Maxx for a bargain £7. I hadn’t tried any mascaras from MAC before so thought what a great way to test. I’m so glad I did as this mascara makes my lashes look so full and fluffy without giving the caked on spider leg effect. I really like the shape and design of the packaging as well as the wand. This makes it easy to get into every lash including the corner and bottom lashes. I find this super easy to take off and it doesn’t transfer throughout the day. This normally retails for £20.

MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish

I was first inspired but this highlighter by fellow blogger Mufavourites when she reviewed it not so long a go. This extra dimension skin finish in the shade ‘whisper of gilt’ was first launched last year as a limited edition Christmas item (you may remember its festive snow flake design) but has since been rereleased this year. I’m a sucker for a light gold highlight, it’s suits my pale skin tone without leaving a cast and leaves a gorgeous wet look sheen to the skin, making it look healthy and giving it a inner glow. This can be worn natural by applying lightly or more intense by layering it or spritzing some setting spray before hand to make it blinding. This costs £25.50.

MAC Extra Dimension Blush

Im a huge fan of a bright pink blush and have lots of matte finishes so wanted to pick up a something with a shimmer. This Extra Dimension blush is in shade ‘sweets for my sweet’ which is a gorgeous candy pink with rose gold shimmers. I love that this can be worn really sheer for a pop of natural, healthy colour or built up for a more intense look. I will definitely be picking this blush up in a coral shade for summer as it doesn’t cling to texture and I love the smooth formula. This costs £23.

MAC Matte Lipstick

New to my collections are a few of MAC’s cult matte lipsticks. I had never tried them before and I’m so glad I have. They have a really smooth application thanks to the creamy formula and dry down to a matte. They have great staying power and don’t make the lips look or feel dry as it dries down. I picked up the shades ‘Beatrix’ which is a vampy berry shade with a metallic finish. Shade ‘modern temptress’ which a dark red with a brown undertone and ‘chilli’ which is a stunning dark smoked red. All three of these colours are perfect for autumn/winter and I can’t wait to add more to my collection. These cost £17.50 each.

MAC Mini Lipstick

Another lipstick newbie but this time in a mini version. Recently MAC released their cult lipsticks in a mini form for travel purposes or just for people to try out their formula for those who don’t want to spend full price. I picked up the shade ‘Twirl’ which is terracotta brown. These cost £10.

MAC Lip Pencil Liner

Lastly we have a lip liner, this came as part of a duo set with one of the full sized lipsticks above. This lipliner in the shade ‘auburn’ is the perfect shade to pair with the lipstick ‘chilli’. The pencils formula is super smooth and creamy and oh so pigmented. This can be used to line the lips or used to draw all over for a full colour. This costs £14.

From left to right- Lip Liner shade ‘auburn’, Mini lipstick shade ‘whirl’, Matte lipstick shade ‘chilli’. Matte lipstick shade ‘modern temptress’, Matte lipstick shade ‘Beatrix’, Extra Dimension blush shade ‘sweets for my sweet’ and Extra Dimension skin finish shade ‘whisper of gilt’.
