Huda Beauty Topaz Obsessions Palette, Swatches & Eye Look

Makeup Looks, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

Hello beauties, hope you’re having a good Monday, I’m back today with the second of the new Huda Beauty Obsession palettes. The Topaz obsessions is perfect for those who like warm shades and it just screams autumn/fall. Keep reading for review, swatches and two eye looks.

A dream come true for those Huda-holics who can’t squeeze their palettes into overstretched make up bags (or those yet to sample her game-changing shadows) this Topaz Obsessions Palette unites nine pigment-packed powders – four vibrant duo-chrome shimmers and five creamy mattes –  in rich rose gold, amber, burnished bronzes and tangerine orange for the ultimate sophisticated polish.

This palette has the same packaging as the rest of the obsessions palettes but with the exception of it being a gorgeous burnt orange colour to match the topaz theme. The shadows are nicely spaced out, this makes it easy to dip your eyeshadow brushes into the pan without picking up another colour. On the underside of the lid you will find a great quality mirror. Its compact size makes this palette perfect for travelling, this is the pocket rocket of palettes.

This palette has 9 shades, which consists of 5 mattes and 4 shimmers. There is enough shades in this palette to create a handful of warm looks.

Starting with the matte shades, they have the same formula as the emerald obsessions, very smooth with little fallout. Unfortunately I didn’t find the mattes as pigmented as other obsessions palettes. They needed building up for a great colour payoff and the dark brown shade on the last row was very patchy. The shimmers however are amazing, they have a super creamy formula that are packed with pigment and blend out easily. There is a small amount of fallout with the shimmers so go careful not to push too hard in the pan.

  • Yellow toned orange matte
  • Rich copper shimmer
  • Burnt orange matte
  • Warm gold shimmer
  • Salmon pink matte

  • Dark bronze shimmer
  • Chocolate brown matte
  • Terracota Orange
  • Light bronze shimmer

Using shades ‘5’ for the transition. Shade ‘3’ to create the shape, shade ‘7’ to deepen the outer corner and bottom lash line and ‘4’ in the centre of the lid.

Using shade ‘8’ on the outer corner to create the shape. Shade ‘5’ in the inner corner and shade ‘7’ on the bottom lash line. Winged liner using Kat Von D Tattoo Liner.

This palette cost £25 and you can find it here

Ciate Chloe Morello’s Beauty Haul Set Vol 2

Hauls, Makeup Looks, Product Reviews, Uncategorized

I am super excited to share this post with you beauties. I was awaiting the announcement of this beauty set for ages and when I saw it on YouTube I screamed!.

This set is from the brand Ciate (you may know them as the nail polish brand with the cute bows on) they have collaborated with the talented Youtuber Chloe Morello. This is the second volume as she did release a set last year but I sadly missed out on it. This is the perfect gift for any makeup lover for Christmas or if you’re like me and felt the need to treat yourself.

The set contains the Chloe Morello second edition pallet with twenty eyeshadows (she created the shades and named them herself), A mini sized ‘best selling’ Wonderwand mascara, mini sized liquid lipstick in limited edition shade (sydney) and a full sized Fierce Flicks liquid eyeliner.

The packaging  of the palette is very cute, reminds me of a purple version of the Burn Book from the film Mean Girls. I love that it is in a sturdy flip top, slim box with a magnet to keep it securely closed. It has a great quality mirror in too which is a massive plus for me in a eyeshadow palette. The pan sized are a average size for a palette with twenty eyeshadows. It is very easy to dip your eyeshadow brush in though to pick up product.

The eyeshadow palette has the most gorgeous array of colours to play around with, it has so much to offer, transition nude shades, smokey browns, autumnal reds, orange and copper shades as well as a dark black. You can create a multitude of looks, with eight matte shades and twelve shimmer shades. The pigmentation is incredible, and although some of the lighter transition shades are slightly chalky, they blend out very easily. The shimmer shades are so popping and have a creamy texture. The only bad thing I have to say about this palette is that there is a lot of fallout, That being said I do my eye makeup before the rest of my face so I don’t mind this as I just wipe my face after with a makeup wipe.

I recently bought this mascara when 02 priorities had voucher code so I now have another tube, which I’m super pleased about as this mascara is insanely good, It makes short work of coating every lash and giving you the false lash effect. The wand is super easy to use too and is perfect at getting in on all the bottom lashes.

As for the liner, I was super impressed with the tip of this, it is very similar to my all time favourite Kat Von D tattoo liner. It is jet black and ridiculously pigmented and really helped me create a good quality wing (having hooded eyes is a nightmare to create any good eye looks).

Shades- ‘topless, halo, coco, nini and gold’.

Shades- ‘baby, violet, jelly bean, renegade and morello cherry’.

Shades- ‘pony, platinum, ellie, mecha and beauty’.

Shades- ‘rose gold, copper, marron, soul and chartreuse’.

Fierce flicks eyeliner and Liquid Velvet lipstick in shade ‘Sydney’

Here is a look that I created with all the products in this set, I opted for a green and champagne smokey eye using shades ‘nini, soul and halo’.

This set costs £45 which I think is fab for everything you get in it and how great the quality is. If you are interested in this amazing set you can find it here. I also was given a leaflet that came with my order that had a discount code that I will give to you beauties to save you 10% off your order (not a affiliate code). Enter ‘HOLDIAY10’ at the checkout, it is valid until 31st January 2018.

Favourite Lipsticks For Autumn/Fall.

Product Reviews, Uncategorized

I have made it no secret that autumn is my favourite season. Mostly I love the wardrobe choices the season has to offer and of course the makeup trends!. Today’s post will be a quick read  about my favourite lipsticks that I will be abusing these next few months.

Think cranberry and oxblood red, dark nudes, browns and purples. Gorgeous warm shades to go with the moody weather.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish Lipstick ’04’

A gorgeous rich purple shade, I like to wear this as a statement bold lip and just wear mascara on the eyes with no eyeshadow. Also works well for Halloween!.

L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick shade ‘blake’

This is my all time favourite red lipstick. It is a true red and you cant beat a classic red lip in the colder months.

NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick shade ‘vintage’

I love the formula of the NYX liquid suede lipsticks and how great the huge applicator is making it super easy to apply the product. This is a Smokey brown colour which pairs well with a red toned eyeshadow.

Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Lipstick shade ‘salem’

A deep brown shade that goes well with a nude eyeshadow. Another bold statement lip but the formula is so smooth and creamy and lasts ages. Cant beat a Lime Crime lippy!.

Urban Decay Vice Lipstick shade ‘heat’

This is a limited edition lipstick, brought out with their Naked Heat palette. It is a pigmented dark copper colour with a metallic finish.

Sleek Vip Lipstick shade ‘show off’

A bargain lipstick that has a dark nude hue to it. I like to pair this with a gold shimmer eye and wing. The colour payoff is incredible.

NYX Full Throttle Lipstick shade ‘con artist’

I’m in love with this Oxblood red. I love deep dark tones and this lipstick applies seamlessly and dries down matte. It last so well I have trouble getting it off at the end of the day.

NYX Liquid Suede Lipstick shade ‘cherry skies’

You cant have a autumn favs without a berry red lippy, I end up going through a tube of this throught the atumn winter months. It has the same applicator as I mentioned in the previous NYX shade.

Lime Crime Perlees Metalic Lipstick shade ‘penny’

Another metallic lipstick, this time a light copper shade. Its no secret I am a big fan of Lime Crime and I have their entire Perlees lipstick collection which is so incredible. I love this lipstick on a night out for a bit of glam. Not to mention the packaging is incredible.

From Left to right- ‘ blake, con artist, show off and 04’.

‘Penny, heat, salem, cherry skies and vintage’.

I am still lacking a pumpkin spice dark orange colour that I need to add to my collection. If anyone could recommend one id be so grateful. Let me know in the comments below.
